What i have been to. Linkin park, Rammstein, Metallica, Kiss, ACDC , Iron Maiden, pink Floyd, Elton John, Alice Cooper, Ice Cube & Westside connection, Flo Rida, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent & G Unit, katy Perry, Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Rod Stewart , rock orchestra and i am not including the Swedish bands/artists/groups.

What concerts have you been to? Who do you wish to see in the future?

I would love to see Kenrick, The Weekend, Logic, Diana Ross, and if N'sync tours in Sweden! I am going 😁 and in April 2024 Tenacious D will be here 🤟🎸.

I’m going to try to list all the artists I’ve seen, but I’m sure I’ll forget some. It’s gotta be 50+ by now, across quite a few genres.

Ok, deep breath, lmao…..

First ever was Notorious B. I. G., believe it or not, when I was 15. He only had the one album, so it was pretty much a performance of Ready To Die, cover to cover. I had a great time, but I wish I could have foreseen how everything would’ve played out and truly appreciated Biggie as an alive-but-soon-to-be-dead legend. Also in high school, I was at the “Freedom Rally”, aka “WeedFest” back in 1996 at Boston Common, back when it was still illegal to smoke weed, but they looked the other way at this event. Anyway, Letters To Cleo played there, I caught some of their show.

Let’s see…there was a Spring Concert at my college, where I saw Long Beach Dub All-Stars (basically Sublime with a replacement for the late Brad Nowell), Beenie Man, and Redman & Method Man. Another Spring Concert was headlined by Busta Rhymes and Jurassic-5. There was also a free show on campus by Naughty By Nature. Oh, and 50 Cent had a show the first year he was out, also on campus. I saw Blackstar (Mos Def & Talib Kweli) together once, with Common, but I’ve seen both Kweli and Common so many times together and separately that it’s all blurry to me. Met Kanye West pre-game up on stage at one show, he was DJing for Common on that leg of the tour, and Common had invited the crowd on stage to dance at the end, and the girl I came with went in full star-fucker mode so I just hung back and talked with Ye😂 He was chill and didn’t seem crazy, but he named a couple Jay-Z beats he produced and I was like “dang, that was YOU?”

Who else…. staying in my early 20s, my underground rap phase, haha…. Aesop Rock, Esoteric & 7L, El-P (now he’s mad famous with Run The Jewels, haha), my buddies had kind of a weird alt-rap group that had a name locally, and I had a couple guest verses, I was sort of an affiliate of the group. The pinnacle came when we got to open for both Blackalicious and KRS-One. That was wild, and the only times I felt like a legitimate rapper😂 And then we were opened for at our usual dive bar venue by King Missile III, who you might know for their song “Detachable Penis” back in the 90s, lmfao. Ummm…also saw The Pharcyde and Del Tha Funkee Homosapien around that time, and another underground guy, Wordsworth.

I saw The Roots, they were OUTSTANDING.

I’ve seen Wu-Tang Clan a bajillion times, including solo shows by Method Man, Ghostface Killah (Raekwon was there too, so that was a duo), and Cappadonna.

I took a chick to Dave Matthews Band in ‘03 to help me close😂 And that also reminds me that I had a Phish-head friend convince me to go to a Phish show around 2000. Not super up my alley, but I got fucked up, so it was a good time😵‍💫

Had a pretty long gap once I started working full time, a free show at regional fair got me back into it, Cuba Gooding, Sr & The Main Ingredient, an old 70s R&B group. Seeing old guys really lit a fire under me, I wanted to see so many people before they retired or died, or in the case of my generation’s acts, before they got old, haha.

I’ll do that more in list form, there’s a lot…

Earth, Wind, & Fire; Kool & The Gang; The Beach Boys (both the Mike Love version and Brian Wilson on his own); Stevie Wonder; Roger Waters (Pink Floyd); The Isley Brothers; saw Warrant and Firehouse for like 50 bucks😂; Smashing Pumpkins; Guns N Roses (twice); Taking Back Sunday (twice); Greta Van Fleet; Eminem; Green Day (twice…once in high school, free concert by a local radio station, turned into a huge nonviolent-but-destructive riot and got shut down, lmfao); Weezer; Paramore; Boyz II Men; Lynyrd Skynyrd; Willie Nelson; LiI Wayne; Future; Meek Mill; Griselda (Westside Gun, Benny the Butcher, Conway the Machine, and a ton of guests who are featured on their music, Stove God Cooks being my favorite); saw this crazy dude named Marc Rebillet just to wingman my friend and it actually was a pretty good show; dude named Pink Siifu opened for Marc Rebillet, and I became a fan; T. I.; Fat Joe; Jeezy; Rick Ross; De La Soul; Camp Lo; Digable Planets; George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic; Korn (twice); Snoop Dogg (with Warren G, and Ice T opened); Ice Cube; I accidentally stumbled upon Scott Stapp of Creed performing at that regional fair I mentioned before, but I did stop and listen, so I have to own it😂; Chevelle; Red Hot Chili Peppers; Alice In Chains; I saw Blink-182 sans Tom DeLonge with Matt Skiba in his place, and it was good, but I paid through the nose to be right up front for the big reunion tour last spring with Tom back in the band; I didn’t go for them, but I saw The Killers at a festival I went to; I saw Rage Against The Machine for a second time last year; Eric B & Rakim; at one of the festivals they had Mike D from the Beastie Boys live-rapping his parts while a DJ played their songs, so I sort of (?) saw them; Bone Thugs N Harmony; and then I just saw Rancid with Agnostic Front a couple weeks ago (thought I was going to get killed in that mosh pit going in, but I actually dominated that shit🦍💪😎😝)

I know I’ll remember someone else as soon as I hit send, but this is probably enough out of me for one day anyway, haha

I attended my first concert in 1970 when I was16. It was Stevie Wonder opening for Sly and the Family Stone at the Los Angeles Forum.
The second one was Black Sabbath opening for Grand Funk Railroad at the Long Beach Auditorium.

After that, I attended probably one concert a week throughout the decade in clubs, auditoriums, arenas and stadiums all over Southern California from San Diego to Santa Barbara.

I saw bands like Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, The Who, the Stones, ELP, Yes, Clapton, Santana, Jethro Tull, Wings, and Led Zep every time their toured. But I saw hundreds of amazing bands - way to many to name. I probably saw 1000 top artists and some of them several times.

I went to Cal Jam 1 and the No Nukes concert.

I saw Heart open for Lynyrd Skynyrd, followed by Jefferson Starship, which was the headliner and had the original Airplane members with them that day. That was a daytime concert at UC Santa Barbara football stadium.

I saw Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention at Santa Barbara Civic Auditorium.

I even went to the Don Kirchner Presents concerts at the Long Beach Auditorium.

I continued to go to concerts after the 70s, but not quite as frequently.

I sometimes jokingly quote Batty from The Blade Runner when he said "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe." But it's true.

Quite a few. Rolling Stones, Beach Boys , The Eagles, James Taylor, Chicago, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger System, Guess Who, Jim Croce, Neil Diamond, and I have seen this guy about 20 times over the last 30 or so years.
