I've been to quite many since I've been to festivals and I also go to small concerts once in a while.
I might miss some, but I'm going to try to call them all. Shakira (when I was 10 lol), Ed Sheeran, Rammstein, Bear's Den, Paul McCartney, Macklemore, Lucy Rose, Kaleo, Alessia Cara, Bring me the Horizon, Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine, Iggy Pop, Royal Blood, Nathaniel Rateliff & the night sweats, Parov Stelar, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tame Impala, The 1975, The last shadow puppets, Walk off the Earth, Arctic Monkeys, Chef's Special, John Newman, Martin Garrix, Hardwell and some unknown Dutch and Portugese artists.
This summer I'm going to some concerts again and probably a festival so I'm excited.
I love most of them bands!
Red Hot Chilli Peppers are bad in real life? That's really let me down :(
I'm broke so I can barely afford concert tickets, so I've only been to one concert my whole life. for my 17th birthday last year I was front row in a tiny venue to see Anthrax. before they were on the bands that also played were Devil Wears Prada and Killswitch Engage. I was really there for Anthrax but the 2 other bands were pretty cool to see too. when Anthrax was on the crowd was chaotic fun lol
That's great! As I'm quite young, I try to go to as many concerts as I can because I know that, as I grow up, I will be too busy or I won't want to spend loads of money on tickets 😂
I have always joined other people in going to a concert. Never been to one for my own music taste. It is still pretty fun though, even though it is not my music taste. I've been to Robbie Williams, Take that, U2 and some Dutch bands, Doe maar and Guus Meeuwis. I have also seen Olly Murs and the Petshop Boys as a pre-show act
That's still great! Who would you want to see that you listen to?
I never attended a concert.
I believe i am an extreme level of minority. Because the odd factor about me is that i don't have any interest attending a concert. I don't like it. I would enjoy playing on stage myself but attending it as a fan; not my favorite activity.
Why not? Many people dream about seeing their favourite artist live!
Yes they do! i love watching live performances too but not with conditions of a concert.
Reasons for my preference would be:
-You get to stuck middle of thousand noisy and yelling people which stops you from understanding and observing the music properly.
-Chances are you get stuck in a circle of getting pinched; pushed; pulled even take hits from the crowd nearby which none of them worth the live experience for me.
-You can end up in the middle of the crowd or even the tale of the stage specially in big arenas which makes you see nothing but a few moving dots on the stage. There is no joy in experiencing such a scene and atmosphere.
-You have to travel miles to get to the arena; pay lots of fees for tickets; food; and other accessories; pay for residency like hotels; stand in and around the arena for hours and taking all this hassle outside the arena in order to take the rest of the hassle inside the arena. Not worth it for me.
-Chances of personal meet and greet is also low.
-From a musician point of view; it's exciting but from a fan point of view; i have to scream; run; cry and hit myself in the head and hit several people on the way in order to meet my favorite artist. These actions are pretty degrading for me.
After all; one of the reasons behind joining a live show is releasing energy and enjoyment. I can do many other things in order to feel happy; energetic and release my emotions. So i don't need live shows for that.
As i've mentioned; playing is more exciting to me. As someone who plays drum; it's more enjoyable to me to play music for others in a show rather than attend to watch with such hassle.
So i prefer to watch the show from my computer with full HD quality and enjoy every second of the performance with accuracy as well as the ability to rewind any moment that i felt i need more observation over it.
I mean, some of what you just said doesn't ever happen. If you have standing tickets, you will get pushed a lot and, as I've experienced, be dragged into mosh pits. But, if you have seating, you don't have to worry about the pushing, and you can pretty much get there any time you want! Also, with meet and greets, it's not like a 'fight to the death', you just have to wait in a line until it's your turn. You'RE making up some terrible situations in your head that can easily be avoided, or just don't happen!
I am not making any of these details up. It's there. Of course some of them can be avoided. I never said it can't be. I've just decided to explain the full spectrum of everything that sits behind my preference.
For example; yes you can get seat-tickets. You can just sit there and all. But You have to get the tickets early and pay a lot more. Which i have no motivation to do so.
Or meet and greets; of course there are lines and all that. But sometimes you can't avoid the crazy moments [Which would makes me disgusted].
Things can be avoided, that is the concept of probability. I don't have any excitement and motivation for these situations; so why would i even bother to try to avoid them? I never involve; i never give myself this headache to try to avoid them.
There is nothing interesting in a concert for me. It all comes from this.
I've seem more concerts than I can remember to list, not to mention hundreds of rave and festival acts. It's probably one of the best time I have in my life surrounded by music and people having a good time.
Until you get that one asshole who had too much to drink...
Omg, last year I was at a small show of a FOB tribute and a Green Day tribute, and this drunk ass pretty much just walked up on stage and started trying to sing with one of the bands!
Or starts a mosh pit at a bluegrass festival. Or pukes on your shoe. Or starts pushing their way forward because they arrived and hour after the show started.
I hate the people that will literally punch you out of the way! When I saw All Time Low, Alex crowd surfed almost on top of me, but there was so many people trying to get close to him that I was elbowed twice in the stomach and in my face! Some people just don't have any respect! And, did someone actually puke on your shoe?
Yep, at an outdoor all-day festival. Brotato sucked down too many Bud Lights and projectiled into the crowd. I wish more people would go to shows for the music and not to try and be noticed or party hard.
At least you have decent taste in music.
Yeah, I swear half the people that go to festivals and shows are only going to show off and to be seen, and not for the music

I’ve seen tons but the best I’d say would be seeing veil of maya & devil wears Prada. Me and my friend went in wearing masks and somehow it brought out the crazies in us. The music was real good and other people joined us xD. The crowd was crazy and lots of mosh. Good time good time!
Bands I've seen in concert that I can name and remember:
- Green Day (3x)
- Kaiser Chiefs
- Steel Panther
- My Chemical Romance
- Elton John
- The Killers
- The Blackout
- The Darkness
I'd kill to see Green Day and MCR!
Green Day are incredible in concert. I'll be the first to admit that Billie Joe doesn't have the most perfect voice, I don't think he's ever claimed to, but he makes up for that by being a wonderful front-man. Their concerts are always super energetic and they constantly get the crowd involved and I don't think any of them take a break from running around stage throughout the whole thing. I would definitely recommend seeing them because they really are super awesome live.
I didn't really like seeing MCR that much, surprisingly. I saw them when I was younger, maybe around your age? Not sure, it was early teens anyway and I was totally obsessed with them but I just didn't think they lived up to the hype. Maybe it was the audience but the whole thing lacked any energy or atmosphere. The Blackout were one of their support acts and I actually enjoyed their short set more than I did the MCR set. I wish I'd enjoyed them more or got the chance to go to another show and see if it was the same.
Since MCR are still such a huge band, it surprises me how their concerts don't live up to standard expectations :(
I'm not much of a concert goer. Finland isn't really a popular place for foreign artists to visit, and often concert prices are too much for me. But I've seen Imagine Dragons, Mumford & Sons and Biffy Clyro. Each only once.
3 great bands, though!
I practically spent my entire teen years and up to now going to shows. I’ve only been to a couple of arena shows, I much prefer the small setting of a bar or club venue. I like the intimate feel of it. I’ve seen so many bands that I’ve lost count and I mostly go to support friends’ music.
Yeah, I prefer smaller venues too. I've been to the O2 twice and I hated it because the seating and view of most places are terrible!
Countless. I started going to concerts at 14 and never stopped. I go to at least 10 concerts a year.
Wow, that's a lot!
Hah I guess so
Metallica, Yes, Kim Mitchell, BTO, Billy Idol, April Wine, ZZ Top, Roger Waters with Eric Clapton. A few lesser known ones too. Seen classical music by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra too, Ivor Pogorelich, Yo Yo Ma, a few jazz festivals in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal.
Only two. I went to see Beyoncé and Backstreet Boys.
I do want to go to more concerts.
I’ve went to a one direction concert before. That’s it, though.
At least 30... Pink Floyd, Genesis/Phil Collins, the kinks, styx, reo Speedwagon, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, the outlaws, Molly hatchet, little feat, morphine, the pretenders, Jethro tull, Jeff Beck, Kansas, Ziggy Marley, Elton John, Billy Joel, Prince, the suburbs, rossington Collins band, the guess who,

I've seen zakk Wilde, kiss, acdc, avenged sevenfold, theory of a deadman and I have tickets for an upcoming metallica concert
None 😑 but I'm hoping to see AfroRepublik this month, BTS this autumn and Shawn Mendes next year ✨
I've seen Kansas, Journey and Asia. Considering how up-close and personal the Kansas concert was, that was most definitely the best. Great memories
Paul McCartney, Maroon 5, Michael Buble, James Taylor, EW&F/Chicago
None, afraid of all the negatives that come with seeing one lol
What negatives?
I guess lmao
I've seen cohead and cambria, iron maiden, the black keys, avenged sevenfold, asking Alexandria, suicide silence, cannibal corpse, mushroomhead, miss may I, korn, and trivium.
The black keys are amazon
amazing* fuck
They were really really good.
I have been to too many to count them starting with bands like Rainbow, Alice Cooper and Thin Lizzy in the mid 70's. Picking a favorite would be impossible.
Only two. Black Veil Brides and Mcbusted
That's 2 great bands!
Same!
Cannot remember the number
But going to see LCD sound system next week
Architects, Trivium, Iron maiden, Avenged Sevenfold, Parkway Drive and bought tickets for Slayers last tour today.
I love concerts. Seeing Imagine Dragons was amazing. :D

Tough to keep a count I seen so many! There are all kinds of festivals here in Montreal lots and lots of free concerts.
One. It was too cramped. Some idiots kept pushing me, and grabbing my girlfriends ass. We left. I'm never going returning back.
