The first concert I ever attended was Stevie Wonder opening for Sly and the Family Stone in 1970. A few weeks later, I saw Black Sabbath open for Grand Funk railroad. I saw Yes open for Deep Purple.

I went on to attend hundreds of concerts during that decade. Some were at auditoriums, arenas, college football stadiums and clubs.

I couldn't possible list all the groups I saw. But some highlights of bands that I saw at once or several times are Eric Clapton, Santana, ELO, James Taylor, Uriah Heep, The Who (with Keith Moon), Edgar Winter, Johnny Winter, Neal Young, Heart, Jefferson Starship combined with all the Airplane members, Wings, Montros, Robin Trower, Rory Gallagher, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, Whitesnake, Blue Oyster Cult, Boston, Kansas, Asia, Creedence Clearwater, the Greatful Dead, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and many, many more. I feel bad that I'm not recalling others at this moment.

I have seen Phil Collins, Dave Matthews Band many times when he was just beginning to get famous, Jackson Browne, Weezer, Good Charlotte and AFI. The last three bands were when I took my girls who wanted to see them. Last two bands lost my hearing for awhile too.

One of the best concerts I've ever been to was Wardruna, a norse ambient group, in Europe 2018. The atmosphere was incredible. One of the few musical groups that are actually better live. I've also been to several punk rock shows during high school and then a few more recent ones

I have not been to a concert in years. I was in Houston back in the 70s when Elvis Presley was in concert there. I watched Queen (with Freddy Mercury) twice. I was able to watch the Carpenters. I have seen Fleetwood Mac several times. Once in Europe. I enjoyed Pink Floyd minus, Roger Walters. This is the last concert I attended. I got really lucky and everything worked out. I was also able to get both Ann and Nancy Wilson's autographs that night!
