Watching a film about a group of teenagers getting stalked and systematically killed by a masked killer. And only one kid (usually a timid girl) survives.
This sounds more dull than scary tbh.

I anjoy them, most movies are very unrealistic anyways, and most genres can be dumbed down to a description similar. For example rom coms there's prettyuch always 2 people that either dont like eachother at first or meet in a funny way and then they fall in love, there's always something that makes them break up and then there's a grand gesture at the end and they all live happily ever after. As long as you enjoy the movie it doesn't really matter how simple it is.
I found the original A Nightmare on Elm Street films progressively more hilarious in their over-the-top ridiculousness, so in many ways silly.
I enjoy them.. especially when the sluttiest girls get killed the worst LOL
When I was a kid me and my friends would pick someone to be the killer and they would wear a mask and we would hide.. it was at night as well and was scary as fuck when you got caught but the adrenaline rush was amazing LOL
@AmeerX Probably LOL
Isn't that why slashers where made? To scare teenagers away from being sluts?
The virgin always lives the sluts always die? xD
@AmeerX Hahaha I am pretty sure that is the idea behind the trend..
like A nightmare on elm st.. Friday the 13th.. scream.. I know what you did last summer.. Halloween.. and so many others xD
@AmeerX Yeah scream was funny I liked the tall guy who was the second killer in the first film xD Matthew he was hilarious he even died funny :P
@AmeerX Scary movie was funny too 😂
@AmeerX I seen all those stupid movies too xD
@AmeerX OMG I went to see Saw 7 in theatres and it was 3D lmao way too gory and I got scared when he threw a saw blade it looked like it was coming right at your face xD I don't really like saw because it isn't scary at all just bloody and gross LOL
@AmeerX But like the main killer is dead.. let it go LMAO they just keep carrying it with the survivors and new picks to be tortured..
Yeah they are pretty :) Didn't know their names but seen them before..
@AmeerX LMAO yes.. Did you like The strangers?
Hahaha yeah didn't know her much besides from Saw LOL
@AmeerX Just about these 3 young people who harasses and scare a couple because they were home LOL
@AmeerX When a stranger calls?
Most are silly and unrealistic, but there are some gems too.

Can't say I'm a fan. They're basically just murder porn.
They're just cheap thrills for folks who love blood and gore. Meaningless to you and I, yes. Though I will admit that back in the summer I did watch Scream for the very first time ever - this coming from a 90s kid - because I wanted to know what I missed out on all these years with this classic horror film everyone raves about. That movie was a total disappointment. Even old-school made-for-TV thrillers in the 90s was better than that crap.
Something about the dynamic of predator and prey lends a lot of sexual tension.
I watch them for what they are and always with someone I'm with because it's only fun to watch with a girl and have it lead elsewhere.
Sometimes slashers are just allround funny movies, sometimes dumb fun is just dumb fun.
They are not that scary. I only like them because I try to guess the killer. Went with friends to watch Evil dead latest and we came out laughing 🤣🤣.
Following words and things are found in all evil dead films
Use of word Slut or whore, use of a book,
Chainsaw and shotgun with 2 Cartridges and this beautiful 😍 girl being injured and killed and turned into possessed demon
Slasher films are fun... to see just how stupid the teenagers in the film are when there's a slasher in the area and they hide in the strangest... and stupidest... places.
Not meaningless. Everything has “meaning” in the basic sense. You could look at slasher films as a mirrored image of America throughout history.
The zombies are communists, free love hippies always get killed first, the traditional way of life is always always under attack. It’s like slasher movies are made by hard right conservative Christians. Lol
"They're all the same. Some stupid killer stalking some big-breasted girl who can't act who is always running up the stairs when she should be running out the front door. It's insulting."
- Sidney Prescott, Scream
Nope, I love seeing them , probably because I can relate to the horror characters lol
The Halloween series will always be the best. in my opinion. Sometimes he lets some of them go. He let Busta Rymes go... lol
LMAO after talking shit to him xD
@Anemone978 exactly.
they sell, people like being scared, so as long as people keep watching them, they will just keep making them.
sure. but for many, sometimes me, they are entertaining. that's really all that matters.
Yeh, I don't like them either.
I don't like seeing People getting Hurt or killed like that, Especially if I find them Attractive.
Most films are silly and meaningless. Some of the biggest movies are super hero movies.
I just can’t suspend my disbelief for most of them.
Yes, they appeal to the dark side of human nature.
Yeah they are dumb
