About a year ago, I poured some cereal into a bowl and poured milk on top. I ate a spoonful, then noticed a small maggot-like thing moving around in the bowl. There were pantry moth pupae in the cereal.
I emptied the bowl in the garbage disposal and threw the cereal away.
I don't know if I ate one, but the thought horrified me. I haven't eaten cereal since.

Speaking of worms reminded me of something else. My wife used to know a weird chick. That woman was trying to write a book and get published. She gave us a transcript to critique.
In one chapter she talked about a time when she was very young (prepubescent). She was fingering herself. When she pulled out her fingers and looked, there was a tiny, white worm wriggling on her fingers.
I had never imagined such a thing and was grossed out.
