In a Zombie apocalypse, how long do you think you would survive?

Depends on the type of zombie and where the outbreak starts. I'm set up to last a long while either way. In the country instead of a city. Low population density in the state.

Fencing around house to keep zombies away. Stocked pantries. Chickens and garden to supplement food. Can hunt rabbits, deer, and antelope within a mile of home. River only a mile away. Fireplace for winter. Electricity comes from a dam, and a neighbor has a windmill. Lots of wells around for water and rivers in/around town if we need them.

Plenty of guns, knives, and a bow with arrows. Most people in the state are armed as well. Kids and hubby are in shape, and kids are trained fighters. Plenty of vehicles.

At the worst we can drive north a few hours without going through any major towns to get further away from society.

There's a military base in the town nearby as well.

We'd likely be one of the last places to get hit by zombies. Same as with covid, it took months for that to get here. Our earliest outbreak was some idiots deciding to host a giant wedding mid pandemic. 🙄 They infected their entire county in no time, and the plague spread to the rest of the state from there.

This woman is repopulating! Making about 10 kids with my hubby like some family's have.

Making sure my home is high and away safely from reach and we are repopulating and I so won't be his only wife!

There will be way less men then women so they will be precious bought and sold to us Milfs.

City people will be done in no time. The suburbs will fall next. Escaping to the country side is your best hope but remember that there will be no grocery stores, wild game will become harder and harder to find. When people become hungry they become cannibalistic. When this happens you have multiple threats to overcome. Lack of food and clean water, the environment, brainless flesh eating zombies and worse…. The intelligent flesh eating cannibal.
For me… I have 1 year of dried food stored, 100 gallons of clean water plus pool that holds 12,000 gallons of water that can be filtered and used. I have plenty of arms and ammo and If I can shelter in place I can comfortably last that year. If I can’t stay with my supplies and have to flee then probably no more than a month. Probably less.
But here is the big question… what started the zombie apocalypse? If it was a bio-weapon or something natural none of us might survive that for very long anyway.

There was a bit of a study last year and some maths modelling carried out in Finland. They looked at how long it would take one zombie to infect the entire city of Helsinki and this was 7 hours.

The bit that was not added in was how many people would be killed by other people just in case they were zombies.

in pretty much every zombie movies the buggers cannot swim, so pick a small island and live it out.

Assuming the zombies only have average IQ or lower: Forever because I'm not a retard like the characters in zombie movies. And men are the top predator on this planet. We would terminate all the zombies & have fun doing it with extreme prejudice. Probably using much cooler weapons & bigger weapons than anything you see in stories too.

If the zombies were smart/clever that's way harder but I would bet in that scenario some of the zombies can be reasoned with & you can make deals with them so there's pros & cons.

Although I hate my dad, I would go to him because he was in the military and could probably get me on the base where I would survive for a little while. Zombies aren't breaking through a military base at least not for a while.

Zombies aren't biologically possible outside of a parasitic brain infection by a fungus that doesn't exist, and they would be very very VERY slow, like plant movement slow, and would stop moving very shortly after because they're dead.
