How long do you think you'd survive in a zombie apocalypse?

I don't think my chances would be good unless I teamed up with someone who has better survival skills. I can nerd things out and build machines as an engineer but I'm not exactly the type of guy who knows how to survive in the wild.

I figure a lot of it depends on whether I can find some good allies or not. I am pretty decent at making friends among strangers and getting along with the widest variety of people! 😂 That might be one of my top survival skills.

One of the things I used to do when I went clubbing in my 20s is that I would find the biggest and strongest looking badass in the room. Then I'd challenge him to a friendly game of arm wrestling, knowing I will almost surely lose.

After that, I'd lose but compliment him left and right on how strong he is and ask him how he became so strong, what he eats, etc. Then those men usually got very excited telling me about their fitness routine and I'd buy them rounds and become buds.

After that, I had a personal bodyguard. If I inadvertently flirted with a girl who was taken and her boyfriend stepped in, being all pissed, I had my huge bodyguard to step in for me and protect me that way.

I am fast as hell. Well, used to be before breaking a leg, I am still learning how to walk now, 2.5 months later.

Probably will be be fast again in a year or so.

Have very quick reflexes and can be quite aggressive, careful but courageous when needed,

Fast and aggressive - It means I can attack even before someone sees or senses me.

I’d survive for a while.

If I’d die, that would be because of protecting someone I’d love, which would be worth it.

Quite a while, a few islands, flood the fens or find a castle to move into. The fens are flat, relatively simple to flood and high ground gives good range to keep clear of zombies. They don’t swim well so should be fine. Recent trial in Helsinki gave about 7 hours from initial bite to full contamination of Helsinki by zombies.

For a decent amount of time at the very least, a lot of people in my town are armed I know the locations of every gunstore, my town is small, low population, I know a decent amount of heavily defensible locations the country side is minutes away and there's a military base about 5-10 minutes from where I live.
