Why do you think so many rockers die so young?

Just noticed a lot of Rockstar died young

Drugs and alcohol are overwhelmingly the reasons. They start getting money, and are surrounded by people who encourage their partying, and a lot of people quickly lose control and become helplessly addicted, and with so much money at their disposal, they don't have anything keeping them from escalating their addiction until they're dead.

Being a musician for a living typically means spending 9-10 months a year on the road. That means you almost never see your friends or family, you never get to sleep in your own bed, or eat a home-cooked meal, you're on someone else's schedule, and you've got to be "UP" when it's time to perform. That's a LOT of pressure and stress, and when you aren't eating or sleeping well, it doesn't take much to push you over the edge. So many musicians turn to booze or drugs to try to manage this stress, and it may help at the very beginning, but soon they've traded one problem with a much worse problem - and lots of them die before they get it figured out. It's very sad, but not that surprising, honestly.

They get rich at a young age and lack the maturity to handle it all. They have all the girls they can handle, get into dope and generally abuse their bodies.

They don't. You only hear about them because they are famous or at least well known. You never hear about the 1000s that party their asses off and nothing happens to them.

Overdose? Suicide? Murdered by psychotic fans? It's not really a lifestyle that's conducive to... living. At least not for very long
