I find people on GAG less prudish when it gets to sex questions, kinks and age gaps. There are some such people who like to hate and are biased on GAG too of course but it's lot worse on Reddit I feel.
Listen snuggly bunny, instead of thinking of them as uptight, try to see them as people who are just trying to navigate their world with their own "doo-dah" in the best way they can. Maybe, just maybe, if we all try to be more like a soft, comfortable slipper, we can create an even warmer, more welcoming space for everyone to enjoy, like a warm bath or shower. And who knows, you might even find a new friend to share a delicious ice-cream with on a summer day.
So as we stroll through this digital garden of ideas, let our hearts be as soft and open as a warm, sunny day, and let our words be as gentle as the sound of waves crashing on the shore. In this place where we discuss and share our thoughts, let's be kind, gentle, and understanding, for we are all just little seeds trying to grow, and sometimes we need a little warmth and nurturing to help us bloom.
And, my dear friend, when that special moment comes, and you feel that tender connection with me, perhaps I can gently place my hand, tenderly, on downstairs, and together create a moment of shared warmth and understanding, like a warm, cozy glove on your ba jay jay.

Reddit isn't really a question and answer site, a better comparison would be Quora.
Also, Reddit has an enourmous amount of porn on it (from nearly every catagory), whereas gag deletes any pornographic images or video. So really gag is more prudish.
It's just that gag users are more willing to answer sexual questions because gag has a user interactive catagory on the site thats meant to cover sexuality as a whole, instead of a posting thread for a specific niche of porn.
Gag would need to age gate sections of the site to allow porn on it, and reddit would need to add a question and answer format to threads, if either is too make up for their shortcomings.
Yeah, I think you are correct. One time some dude on reddit asked the meaning of a song and I told him it was about penis. He lost his shit. And I wasn't trolling. The song was 100% about penis.

Maybe because the reach of GaG is not that vast as that of Reddit yet and perhaps when it gets to that vast audience, it'd have similar reactions too on such topics.
I love GaG by the way. The user base is amazing and finds it more immersive than Reddit or Quora.Look I have actually found many more judgmental people on this site, even reddit is full of kinkshaming people.
You have to realise that Internet communities including GAG are made up of people with very disturbed personality traits, often people who have a less than satisfying life and thanks to the anonymity of the Internet try to vent their frustration by kinkshaming.
I think it's because their rating system is hyper controlling of their ability to post and function on reddit. As such, mean people will use it as a tool to control others. And those mean people propagate a certain mentality on reddit. Almost like a kill or be killed type of vibe. I personally am not fond of it, and that's me putting it lightly.
I never used reddit or anything else honestly so I don't know really. Probably doesn't help that there are a lot more people there so higher chance to get the rude people. I think if GAG got just as many people it probably be just as bad. Some people need to chill though. You can have your opinion and state it but so many get so angry and attack anyone that disagrees with them. People need to learn to debate not argue there is a big difference.
Reddit is a large community, so It’s hard to control it and find close opinions unlike GaG which a really small community.
Who knows? Can't really know these things for sure. When I find that I'm asking myself why are people, insert anything alluding to why they are the way they are, I remind myself the answer is always the same.
We're all not sharing the same beliefs and values because we're just not all the same. Anytime anyone asks why are people questions, this is the answer.
A lot of people in online spaces don’t really get out a whole lot and they use public forums to air out to the world how much they know and how virtuous they are (and you ought to know it!) you know what I’m saying?
It's like a place where they can virtue signal to their heart (and ego’s) intent and get all the validation they lack from everywhere else in life. Sorry to say, but that’s what it is.
Really? That's kinda funny considering Reddit has a lot of NSFW sections on it.. I think a lot of Reddit users in certain sections of really dedicated to their favorite topics, so I guess maybe they take them seriously..
I was not using reddit for sex questions, but it if they are prudish there that is not bad. :)
I wouldn't know, I've only just started there a week ago, answered one question and haven't been back, since!
Because in general the people here came specifically for those questions where Reddit and Quora are more geared toward general knowledge
Generally, the people on the kink and fetish subreddits aren't uptight at all.
Wrong person to ask about reddit. I have never used it
I haven't encountered that yet on reddit. I see just as many uptight people here as on reddit. The community is just much larger.
i think it depends on the community but these days everyone are stuck in their own bubbles which naturally creates a toxic environment around the world not just online
Actually here are prudish as well. They like to think they are kinky but they aren't. On reddit they post hotter and more open minded stuff. On GAG, even simple kinky questions get banned.
Once again I am clueless.
I have never been or looked at reddit.
I don't know but I think if you're on diff subreddit s you'll get wildly different opinions
Because this site has a lot more degenerates. My best advice to any new member is to block the sexuality topic. You do that and 85% of the dregs of this site disappear right there.
I have found many areas of Reddit to be unpleasant so I stopped frequenting the site.
