Why famous people are often referred to as talented?

Too bad you're anonymous, because I totally agree with you there! There are people who have that natural gift with them, but the majority they worked on their craft and polished it. It takes a lot of dedication which is something not a lot of people have so it's referred to as talent.

I would say songwriting is a talent, there is so much of that you can learn and some people write hits consistently.
