What song do you instantly TURN OFF when it plays? What song makes you automatically switch the station? Or is it a certain band or singer?
For me, it's anything by Olivia Rodrigo or this old band called Whitesnake.

Nickelback...
back in the days... I just took the CD and had it fly off the window in the middle of the highway to nowhere...
and I warned my best friend about it... it's either the CD/that song or me going off this truck... and yes, I already had the door opened, lmfao
Used to love Nickelback. Not anymore. Though I still have a guilty pleasure for How You Remind Me.
and I bet you pray for forgiveness and understanding... lol
@Pinay_ako I still like you guys... in spite...
@Xia1994 you're fine people as well... like I said, nobody is perfect... lmao
This song is one of the worst thing I've ever heard. Worse they play it about 6 times a day on any radio station.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/QZLxVvLyKToAll his songs sound exactly the same. And this video didn't even match the lyrics.
Meh. We inflicted Taylor Swift on the world.
You guys are still in the doghouse for The Beatles though ๐
She's a cult leader.
Yeah, she is something. A drama queen.
'If I only could I'd make a deal with God and I'd get him to swap our places'
Running up that hill - Kate Bush
Dude I didn't even watch Stranger Things and that goddamn song has been HAUNTING me. It sounds like nails on the chalkboard
I think I just hate her voice lmao
fucking any luke bryan song is so annoying
and how do you not like whitesnake like who hurt you lol
The overplayed awful, horrible screeching sound that is Here I Go Again did.
but it's badass
do you even like rock music lol
Good rock music... which obviously excludes Whitesnake. HEY-OH!
name a badass rock song then

Anything from Tate McRae, her voice is downright horrible.
Oh my god. That song greedy makes me wanna burn down a nursing home
@Kingofkings1992 Like I don't even know how she got a record deal. If she were to ever get on America's Got Talent she would never make it past Simon.
I'm not sure I've ever heard this song. In fact, I don't think I even know who this person is.
@BCRanger10 30 seconds is all you need.
I'm scared.
@BCRanger10 Nah, you'll probably laugh at how bad she sounds.
Neil Young's voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me
Getting there with Bruce Springsteen.
Both are government music
I turn off any rap songs and almost any ACโก๏ธDC songs.
AC/DC = overrated.
Stairway to Heaven you know about that right when you play it backwards Evil words from Led Zeppelin
I don't know how much I buy into that (though I wouldn't be surprised). At any rate, I just hate the song anyway. Also incredibly overrated. The fact that Robert Plant hates it too fills me with such glee.
Right now it is everything in the top 100. Mainstream music has never been so lame.
โLets do the time warp again!โ
i like rocky horror picture show but this song played over and over again at this party supply store i worked at during Halloween for years. Got so tired of hearing it lol
Oh, geez!! There's SO MANY!! We can kill off thousands if not millions with just 4 words: disco, rap, modern pop.
Sad you feel that way
Many poets can be found in a variety of genres. To exclude them and do away with them as a whole. Breaks my heart.
Itโs not so much the genre but the artists who give it a bad name with their lazy song writing and cheesy artificial musical tune ups.
Otherwise Iโve found plenty of non fecal matter within those genres you red listed.
So so sad lol
Iโm against people being force fed trend stuff even when thereโs nothing likable/ genuine/ artistic/ uniquely different or custom made/ not raw.
Iโm all against that. Not for it.
But to wash oneโs hands away from other styles for the mere reason it doesnโt mesh with oneself, is a bit sad. I mean have your opinion and preference I just hope this doesnโt give them a bad name.
They canโt all be grouped into one collectively. Many are quite unique and their work resonates with others. Many put a good amount of effort into it as well.
I know many religious rappers who speak about good stuff
And a non religious one who is quite talented for his work is Eminem.
He was a spokesperson for some rough topics.
Tupac was poetic.
The religious one I speak of is NF and he talks about tough topics of peopleโs personal lives and growing up. His hardships and dreams all in his music.
Like he TALKS to his fans,
Itโs real.
Itโs controversial because many rappers just rap about the life and items they want and cuss every other word while some singers are happy go lucky.
Nf is different for not exactly being cookie cutter like that.
Definitely something one can listen to when they feel misunderstood and feel like somebody else gets it- what theyโve been through.
He gives words to his fans who have pain they donโt know how to verbalize.
Andy Mineo and lecrae have done somewhat similar.
These are just some few I have noticed and I donโt think they or their music should just be tossed to the curb. For no reason or with good reason.
Theyโre arguably talented and personable artists.
You donโt get that with familial folk songs
The ones that say we should be happy and smiling and to not to be doing so is to be abnormal.
Like family gatherings or so.
Meanwhile those ones have their own rightful place as well. Those are definitely memory makers
@Rosexøxø Absolutely true!
Yeah, okay, there's a COUPLE "disco" songs that I like but, 99% of it is shit and so is rap (someone left the C off of THAT word!) and that pop princess garbage that's been flooding media these days. I wanna hear MUSIC!! Something that's CREATIVE!! Something that makes you think!! Listening to a grown woman sing like she's 5 years old and repeating the same 4 words over and over again just ain't makin' it!!
Well, maybe all you need is a puddle to float your boat. I need a river or an ocean!
https://youtu.be/XJPViBFtBd4?si=n_Qx6xqnNGguElZf
@Rosexøxø What's so great about religion? I know of rockers, folkies and metal heads that are all about religion, too but, I don't pay any attention to them, either.
How is ANY rap talented? It's just talking in bad rhymes to a bunch of push-button noise that supposedly passes for music. Any 8 year old can do that shit! That's WHY there's so many 8 year olds out there doing it!!
Exactly, they TALK!! They DON'T SING!! You want a message song? Try this.

www.youtube.com/watch
THAT takes talent!!
If your faves have something they want me to hear, back it up with MUSIC and learn how to SING and play an actual instrument!! I find no talent at all in talking in a boring monotone in bad rhymes and having push-button pre-recorded junk backing it up.
Tones and I "Dance Monkey", I can't stand with it
anything with lots of profanity and/or incomprhensable lyrics
Agreed
This lame ass shit from a guy who won some stupid singing game show.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/q31tGyBJhRYCalum Scott appeared on Britain Has Talent in 2015. He came sixth.
Just about anything modern pop. It's like nails against a chalk board.
Amazing Grace. Go ahead and hate me, I donโt care.
Actually, I don't entirely disagree...
YMCA is a song that really and truly blows dead bears!
Anything with a screechy voice.
This ainโt fcking Texas by Beyoncé 😠
Unholy by Sam Smith
I've never heard that one all the way through. I don't intend to anyway. I'm not super familiar with his music, but the little that I do know from a few years ago, I can confidently say that he has taken his career in a very disturbing direction.
Yes he certainly has. I haven't heard the song straight through either but just the little I did hear made me cringe.
Did you see that performance at the Grammys last year?
No I didn't but I heard bad things about it.
People dressed up in Satan costumes and stuff. The fact that it wasn't Halloween makes it worse.
Omg it definitely does. Wow.
I suppose they could make the "it's a song called 'Unholy'" excuse, but at the same time, it doesn't really help the narrative that Hollywood and the music industry are NOT overrun with Satanists and stuff. For the record, I'm not straight up saying it is... but it wouldn't surprise me.
Taylor Swift for sure.
Any song by Doja Cat
