I’m against people being force fed trend stuff even when there’s nothing likable/ genuine/ artistic/ uniquely different or custom made/ not raw.

I’m all against that. Not for it.

But to wash one’s hands away from other styles for the mere reason it doesn’t mesh with oneself, is a bit sad. I mean have your opinion and preference I just hope this doesn’t give them a bad name.

They can’t all be grouped into one collectively. Many are quite unique and their work resonates with others. Many put a good amount of effort into it as well.

I know many religious rappers who speak about good stuff

And a non religious one who is quite talented for his work is Eminem.

He was a spokesperson for some rough topics.

Tupac was poetic.

The religious one I speak of is NF and he talks about tough topics of people’s personal lives and growing up. His hardships and dreams all in his music.

Like he TALKS to his fans,

It’s real.

It’s controversial because many rappers just rap about the life and items they want and cuss every other word while some singers are happy go lucky.

Nf is different for not exactly being cookie cutter like that.

Definitely something one can listen to when they feel misunderstood and feel like somebody else gets it- what they’ve been through.

He gives words to his fans who have pain they don’t know how to verbalize.

Andy Mineo and lecrae have done somewhat similar.

These are just some few I have noticed and I don’t think they or their music should just be tossed to the curb. For no reason or with good reason.

They’re arguably talented and personable artists.

You don’t get that with familial folk songs

The ones that say we should be happy and smiling and to not to be doing so is to be abnormal.

Like family gatherings or so.
