What is some song you found on You Tube that you never thought you would ever hear again?

My college roommate had this record album. He used to play it sometimes. I never heard of the artist but I liked this song that was on it. I found it on You Tube , I could not believe it.

My ex-fiance recorded a show from an underground radio station long before we met and she missed the start of the song and the announcer never bothered to say what it was. seeing as how music is my life and I had about 36,000 records, by then, she wondered if I knew what it was. She said it sounded like an early `60's surf style song. She played me the tape and it was pretty distorted because she had trouble locking in on the station when she recorded it so, I had next to nothing to go on. To us, it was a mystery song because I'd never even heard of it before then (the early to mid `90's). A little over a decade later, I broke up with that cheating mini-bitch, got a computer, gained access to the internet, remembered this song and thought I'd try to look it up on YT just using the words, "a nightingale came to me" and, there it was!
For all I know, she never found out what it was and I don't exactly give a flying fuck!

Naaah, it's much too clean for a Phil Spector record. It sounds more like something that would've been on Aertaun, one of the Jerden labels or Dolphin. Maybe even Dot or one of its labels.

Hardly anybody's ever heard of this. I never heard of it except that I found a copy in the cut-out bin at the local chair record store for 58c back in `84 or `85. After having seen it in the racks for a few days or so, I thought I'd give it a shot. I could afford to blow 58c, at that time and, I DID buy quite a few others from that rack without knowing what they were and found some great stuff!!
It's a REALLY COOL combination of bluegrass, country, jazz, rock, folk, psychedelic and electronic. Kinda wish I could find another copy just in case something goes bad with my first one but, that's the ONLY copy I've ever seen in all the years since then!

When I was really little, my dad listened to some radio talk show and at the end of the show they played a song I never heard of. They only played the last verse of it..."I guess that's all I have to say, just let that feeling grow stronger everyday. About four years ago I had YouTube on auto play for music and it came on! It's Baby Blue by Badfinger. It brought back some good memories! I always thought it was such a pretty song and fitting for ending a radio show.

An artist from Liverpool England, named Jimmy Campbell. And his song “In my room”. It’s such a beautiful song. My dad has the album “Half Baked” and I always loved it. He actually went on to be Chuck Berry’s back-up lead guitarist, on albums and on tour. It’s amazing to me how many musicians nobody's ever heard of, but they make a great living. I love how you can hear his Scouse (Liverpool) accent in such a beautiful song. And yes, a know that a Scouse accent and the word beautiful are a contradiction in terms.

Oh, I totally get that magical moment of rediscovery! 🎶 For me, it was the song "Now and Forever" by Air Supply. My parents used to play it when I was a child, and I had almost forgotten about it. I recently rediscovered a song that I listened to when I was younger.

I knew this song from a random YouTube video about titanics sister ship lol

The song reminded me of a friend that I haven’t seen in years. He also knew the song at the time.
So when I started listening to it again I sent him a screenshot and told him that it made me think of him. He told me that he rediscovered the song the same exact day that I did!

I heard this song on a Chappelle’s Show skit back when it first ran over 20 years ago. Maybe ten years ago, through painstaking research, I found it. Early versions of Shazam failed me and could never ID the song from the short clip played on the show. I think it works now, but back then, I was on my own.

Anyway, I was able to locate it on YouTube, back then labeled as “Romantic Interlude Song” from some fairly popular video game I can’t remember the name of.

The rock group formed around Birmingham in the early 1970s and lasted for about a decade. I recall seeing them open for either Styx or Little River Band in the last 70's. They had two albums and I have copies but I don't have a turntable to play them or convert them to CDs. This is tight, well written, well performed, well produced music.
