I may meet Ben Stiller, is it awkward to ask him about possibly being included in one of his future productions?

He has a production company, so he has say over casting for some things... I may only have a minute with him if I do meet him at something I am going to be at next week. Is it awkward if I ask him if there's anyone I can contact there to be considered for a future project?

If you do reference the movie "Empire of the sun". Remind Ben of how Steven Spielberg gave him his break in that movie and what he went on to become after that. I think he would appreciate that fact that you'd know that about him. Ben only had a bit part in that movie but he played a Japanese prison camp survivor. So Speilberg said he needed to look the part. So Ben knowing it's Speilberg pretty much showed up emaciated looking and Speilberg said "what happened to you"?🤣

Kid.. I met Martin Sheen years ago, and when I wrote him after he told me that he would have happily included me in a future production, but his production company shut down after The West Wing, and he was just a hired hand these days.
Yeah, and it is almost impossible to get in the union... soooo.
