I want to have an evil version of Superman and Goku get defeated by "Team Gamma" in one of my stories. Nam Repus would be evil superman and Ukog would obviously be evil Goku. Am I allowed to do this, or is it a copyright violation to use these fictional villains?
Nam Repus and Ukog. Huh? Is this too much of a rip-off of Superman and Goku? Could I get sued?

Nam Repus comes from the planet Argon, and Ukog claims to be "A God," but will be shown to be mortal after all.

quora's bot advises me NOT to do this, even with the names spelled backwards. It says it could still be considered copyright infringement.

Creating characters like "Nam Repus" and "Ukog" as evil versions of Superman and Goku can potentially lead to copyright issues because they are clearly derivative of well-known characters. To avoid legal complications, it's important to make them distinctly original in terms of personality, appearance, and abilities. Focus on unique traits and backstory, distancing them from the iconic attributes of Superman and Goku. Consulting a legal professional experienced in intellectual property rights is advisable to ensure you stay on the safe side. 🦸♂️📚
