What is the Worst Version and Best Version of a Movie or TV show you've seen so far?

Disney is just a perfect example of the worst.

No matter if it's a Remake, Revision, Retooling or Re-imagining what's the best and worst of it in your view? In my own opinion it was, Robin and Marian staring Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn as the worst "Robin Hood" film ever vs the Best in "The Adventures of Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland.

OG Aladdin was great. Remake cast Aladdin perfectly. I don’t think Naomi Scott is a great actor but she was a believable Jasmine. Will Smith is funny but i rather they had kept a robin williams genie representation through cgi or something.

The Little Mermaid OG was great. Melissa surprised me as a good Ursula. I didn't think anyone would do better than Queen Latifahs. The guy looked nothing like Eric. Ariels hair was a mess yet they fixed it nicely at the very very end of the film. Smh. I also didn't like how they changed the climax where everyone finds out he's engaged to Ursula.

there's too many Batman films to review plus I dont even like that character but damn anytime Ben Affleck played him, he was sucky and Robert Pattinson was just as bad. Colin Farrell was the only good prt of that latest Batman movie.

Love Dont Cost a Thing was an amazing remake of can't Buy Me Love. I enjoyed both. Cats remake was awful. All the Dune films bored me aside from the worm scene. I enjoyed the Footloose remake but didn't watch the original. I really can't stand Kevin Bacon. I loved The Hitcher remake. Way better especially the acting. Sean Bean is the man. I enjoyed both Jungle Books but I think the Jungle Book remake was better than the Lion King remake. King Kong 2005 and Godzilla 1998 are still better remakes than any King Kong or Godzilla I've seen.

The Last House on the Left was amazing but the dick biting scene on the OG was epic lmao. I enjoyed both Mulans but the live really suffered without Eddie Murphy and music. Believe it or not, I enjoyed Tom Cruises The Mummy film more lol. Night on Elm Street remake was good but the main villain was not.

Nobody dominates that role like Robert England. And then the Friday 13th remakes annoyed me because Jason doesn't need to run to catch you. The Halloween remakes annoyed me because people had a chance to kill him several times but were just dumb af.

The live action Dalmations films were funnier because of Glenn Close but the main protagonist characters were a bore. The sequel was better. Parent Trap remake was better but i still enjoy both. The only good Peter Pan remake was the one with Jeremy Sumpter. The only good Pinnochio remake was the one witb Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Point Break remake was horrible but the stunts were better. I loved Poseidon (Kurt Russell) and Poseidon Adventure miniseries (Steve Guttenberg) way better than the OG. All of the Scooby Doo films were pretty good. The Tarzan remakes all sucked. I only liked the animated disney OG. Even the animated remake sucked. When a Stranger Calls remake wasn't the best but man the OG sucked.

I love The Wiz and The Wizard of Oz. The Wiz had catchier songs but Wizard of Oz had a better setting and better overall cast (Diana Ross kinda ruined the Wiz for me but everyone else did great). Plus Judy Garlands rapping skills were on point lmao. Wizard of Oz had the hotter scarecrow but Wiz had a better dancing/singing scarecrow (Michael Jackson duh). Tin Mans song was better in Wizard of Oz but i loved Nipseys songs in the Wiz. The Lion in The Wiz was way better but the Lion in Wizard of Oz was funnier. Also the miniseries Tin Man was good but really creeped me out.

And of course… The Spiderman films… Tobey played the role the best. Andrews Amazing Spiderman 1 was honestly more enjoyable than SP1 and SP2 in my opinion. But i personally liked SP3 more than any spiderman film. ASM2 sucked. Tom Holland Homecoming was awful. Michael Keaton tried his best to save it. Far From Home was certainly different but not great. And Jake Gyllanhael was not a believable villain at all. No Way Home was amazing but again because of all the OGs. Tom is just not a good spiderman to me although i adore him in other films like The Impossible and In the Heart of the Sea. But yea Tobey and Andrew and of course Willem Dafoe made No Way Home good. Definitely not Tom and his annoying aunt

OK, the worst TV show that I ever saw was "Cop Rock" in 1990.

This was supposed to be the next big thing - a revolutionary new kind of TV show from Steven Bochco to be on ABC. (Bochco's popular 1980s shows were on NBC.)

So, everybody was excited for the premiere. My new girlfriend and I turned on the TV... We watched sitting next to each other only a few feet from my small 13" Sony TV. And then, less than 3 minutes into it, we both burst out laughing and turned it off.

This show was a disaster! It was promptly cancelled and only broadcast 11 episodes in the Fall of 1990.

Here's the problem with "Cop Rock". It was a police drama... but it was A MUSICAL!! A primetime cop musical! What sort of crack was Bochco on to think of this stuff? (*)

Here it is: The first episode of "Cop Rock". When the criminal is being arrested and breaks out into song, my girlfriend and I instantly lost all respect for this show and turned it off... as did pretty much all of America.

Fortunately for Steven Bochco, he recovered and saved his career. 3 years later, ABC premiered his "NYPD Blue" which WAS a revolutionary cop show and a big hit. "NYPD Blue" showed naked butts and used language (like "asshole") on broadcast TV; this never happened before that. Reboots done for DEI tend to be terrible - Disney, I'm looking at you.

I'm hoping the reboot of Highlander will be ok. Cavill is a great actor, but any actor needs a good supporting cast. It's got to have a villain as accomplished with a sword as Cavill so the fights are believable. Liam Neeson would be great as Ramirez but I'm not sure who's going to match Clancy Brown's "Kurgan" as the antagonist. Benedict Cumberbatch might be able to pull it off, just in a different way.

Oh, this is a fun one! 🎬✨ For Disney, I'd say the live-action "Lion King" was a bit of a miss for me. The visuals were stunning, but it felt like it lacked the soul and charm of the original animated classic. The voices just didn't sync with the ultra-realistic CG animals, which made it feel off.

On the flip side, I absolutely adored the live-action "Cinderella" directed by Kenneth Branagh. It captured the magic and emotion of the original while adding a bit more depth to the characters. Lily James and Cate Blanchett were phenomenal!

When it comes to "Robin Hood," I totally get where you're coming from. "Robin and Marian" had its moments, but it didn't live up to the legend. Meanwhile, Errol Flynn’s swashbuckling adventure in "The Adventures of Robin Hood" is just timeless. His charisma and the vibrant Technicolor cinematography make it an enduring classic for sure.

Most perfect in near recent is Chernobyl mini series. Because it wasn’t overdone.

Everything seems so overdone with perfect lighting and cgi. Chernobyl felt like a yesteryear movie of good writing and not much cgi unless to show the disaster.

The last version of All Quiet on the Western Front was horrible as it strayed too far from the novel. It was highly praised by critics, but I love the novel and was disappointed. The original 1933 version is the best.

I have nothing against Ariel being African American. It just feels lifeless compared to the animated movie from 1988. Just boring even the songs though I enjoyed Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.

Scarface with Al Pacino is a remake of an older film of the same name. I only saw part of the original though.

Cape Fear is another good one that I didn't know was a remake until later.

I think A Fistful of Dollars might count too, the Western spin on the Japanese story that spurred a new era of movie, the spaghetti westerns
