I'm not gonna lie, I'm running out of patience. I'll have some Uzi on, chilling, by myself, in my car, and my friends will hop in and immediately tell me to change the song and put on some generic pop bs... like bruh, I was going to be considerate and ask what you want to listen to, but since you wanna be a cunt, we listening to EA2 the entire way there. I get that people have their preferences, but why they gotta be so vocal about others'?

Okay look, I don't have a problem with pop music at all. I'm just mad that my generic choice in music gets attacked by someone else with generic taste in music

I agree. I like all kinds of music. Rap, rnb, psychedelic rock, show tunes, emo, pop, etc. my music taste is all over the place lol. I’m also very open to listen to whatever someone else wants to listen to.

I just hate when people act like they’re better than you or they’re more intelligent because of music taste. You say you like modern pop and they’re like “that’s garbage! I only listen to the classics! Blah blah”

or if you listen a rap song about sex or something dumb they go “what happened to when singers sang about real issues” like shut uppp, music can simply be for fun! I don’t need some deep meaning or Grammy winning lyrics to enjoy a song.

I also get annoyed when someone listens to ONE genre and acts like they hate everything else.

i have one friend who shits on every song I put on because they only listen to one genre (shitty mumble rap) and everything else is weird to them… like pleaseeee broaden your music taste I beg 😩

It isn’t really music snobbery more than just being inconsiderate. If they had taste, it wouldn’t be generic modern pop.

Lyrics used to have more meaning than “I love you”, it used to have deeper connectivity also great guitar, bass, drum, and actual songwriters who knew what a song was without trying to make it as brain rotting as possible just to get a hit on Spotify…. It lacks soul to put it mildly.

My thing is this, you don’t have to like the music though please don’t dunk on their picks. That is all.

Why do you complain then about them changing it? I can understand it's rude behavior but if you like it then it's no problem it's not like they put some atrocious music who hurt the ear
Personally i have the habit to change song before the end because it annoy me to hear the same things repeating one hundred time and it drive my sister crazy but she doesn't make a big deal of it just say I'm annoying
and I find it annoying when she let the full song on but I don't make a big deal abut it either

If it's just once then sure, I don't mind. But with them it's every time they hear a song that's not on their playlists. Also if I'm in the mood for a certain song, I don't really want to change it in the middle. I have no problem listening to other people's music, it's just that they're so weirdly aggressive about it

Yes. Music snobs, food snobs, wine snobs, art snobs, fashion snobs,... They are all full of BS. There is absolutely zero objective measure for any of those things. They may like listening to Beethoven's Emperor Concerto while eating foie raw and drinking champagne. While I like listening to Disturbed and eating tacos and a Coke. And there's absolutely standard to say that either one is better. People like to think they are better.
