Have you ever met anyone famous?

Several times. I need to be a bit cryptic so as to remain anonymous here and to people in my real life.
Two I grew up with.
Another celebrity is a woman who I am active Facebook friends with. She is first cousin's with a friend of mine. I've met her at least 2 or 3 times including having had dinner with her. I was a fan of hers before I knew about her being my buddy's cousin.
I'll mention two celebrities that I know off the top of my head who are dead now:
Oh, and I spoke with and shook hands with President Biden when he was Vice President in June 2009.
A few months ago, I discovered a girl that I went to high school with is the step-sister of a musician in a prominent rock band that was big in the 1970s and early 1980s. I've seen this band numerous times, but haven't met this guy. I don't think this counts though.
I've been in TV show audiences but I don't think that counts either... and concerts, of course.
I have had conversations with some professional athletes who are well-known in their sport, box lacrosse.
And, I am related to former MLB pitcher Neal Heaton.
Finally, am I famous? I am in the movie "Black & Blue", a recording of the Black Sabbath / Blue Öyster Cult concert at Nassau Coliseum in October 1980. I was at that concert in the 2nd row on the floor just in front of the stage.
Many people. Biggest names would probably be Kanye West and Dave Chappelle. Just last weekend I met Jared Keeso, co-writer and star of the TV shows Letterkenny and Shoresy, who’s a little more niche-famous, but fairly famous just the same. GREAT guy, his fake hockey team from the “Shoresy” show played a game against some of the retired alumni from my local professional team. Great time, and he couldn’t have been more gracious signing autographs and taking pictures. It was cool to get a fist bump and be able to thank him in person for all the laughs…

https://www.youtube.com/embed/IQCMTmh7CYQhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/qBWEOSyAktUMy cousin in China and a friend that we hosted at a Christmas party have both worked as News Anchors. My cousin is now a multi millionaire motivational speaker that I believe owns a $50,000,000 mansion. My other cousin is a top CEO with over 5,000 employees at his computer technology company in China, and it's in one of the richest cities in China too.
My grandpa was a very famous scientist and when he died his death was front page news and his home was turned into a museum that still has daily visitors now, 44 years after his death. I never met him cause I'm under 44 years old. I wasn't born til many years after his death.
I also met at least half a dozen or more famous Christian celebrities such as 2 beauty pageant winners, a famous gospel musician with over a thousand monthly listeners, two famous pastors that have been on t. v. over 50 times, one Christian talk show host who hosted a television program at night, a semi famous author who has been on t. v. multiple times and is now becoming a famous musician with new songs every month, a retired basketball player who quit to launch a pastoral ministry.
And I met one of Canada's richest billionaires at a birthday party in high school cause she was the birthday girl's father. I also met another Canadian billionaire who is my dad's grade school friend that is now in his 60s. He wrote a book after making billions of dollars and sent us a free copy in the mail. It's in Chinese so I can't read it.
Honestly I can’t even remember all the people I’ve met lol. Now the majority I met were at conventions like comic con. But I did meet Jason Mamoa in the wild in a bar after I got off work. And an old timey hockey player Lanny mcdonald did a whisky bottle signing at the liquor store I worked at. Oh and my dad played peewee hockey with Wayne Gretzky but I never really saw him much growing up, grampa would play poker with his dad though
That's awesome! I've met a few famous people at various film festivals and art events. One memorable encounter was with Tilda Swinton at Cannes—such an inspiring artist! 🎬 It's always exciting to meet talented individuals and share that experience with fellow enthusiasts. Not trying to answer the question without really answering the question. I will say there are good people who are famous. But there are a LOT who when you really get to be around them they aren’t as much fun as you would think they are.
A lot of them are very mean self centered people. A lot of them are very arrogant and think they are better then everyone. A lot of them have very negative view of the peasants or their fans. They treat their staff and people around them like absolute shit.
They may be nice when meeting them for a PR stunt. But that’s all it is who you see them as in the public is a front. It’s not really who they are at all. And a lot of them are very controlled.
It doesn’t matter. If it’s singers. TV actors. Famous newscasters. Politicians. A lot of them behind the scenes are very mean nasty hate filled individuals at BEST and that’s being nice.
I once shook hands with a former governor and also Jimmy Smits (actor from an old show called NYPD Blue - he also had a role in some of the Star Wars movies. ) Some years ago when I was in Puerto Rico on a work related trip I saw one of their local celebrities - I don't remember her name but she must of been about 50 % silicone (not that that would of stopped me from smashing if I had the chance)
I met Holly Hunter when we were both students. I met the Avett Brothers in a small club in Dallas before they were popular. I met Brian Cranston in London because his daughter and mine were in the same acting program. I think that's about it for anyone well-known.
Did you meet Holly Hunter or Holly Hunter meet you?
@BlissfullyCurSed We shared a lunch table once. Carnegie-Mellon has a conservatory program in theater that is considered one of the best in the country. The theater department mostly keeps to itself. I went to all the shows that I could, even the small undergraduate directing projects. It spoiled me for theater. I see so little now that is half as good as what I saw there.
I hang out with famous people.
I bet you'd hang out with my good friend Jack Deez...
I met Branch Rickey III in 1974. He was a son of Branch Rickey, the man who re-integrated MLB Apr.15,1947 when Jackie Robinson took the field for Mr. Rickey, Sr's. Brooklyn Dodgers. However, over the past 59 years I have spoken to PENTY of famous folk as a radio show caller.
Yeah
Jon Bon Jovi, Rikki Rockett, Richard Marx, Brooks & Dunn (though I had no idea who they were when I met them). The Ultimate Warrior, The million Dolar man Ted DiBiase, Superman (probably NOT the one you're thinking of) 😆. Ben Roethlisberger, and Kurt Warner
Arcenio J. Advincula
Medal of Valor winner and Congressional Black Belt recipient, multiple times published in Black Belt Magazine. He helped scheme and found the original Marine Corps Martial arts program.
