Should Hollywood bring back TV shows about cowboys?

In the 60s and 70s there were lots of them, Maverick, Bonanza. The Rebel, The Big Valley and many others. They were wholesome entertainment. Saloon girls were good hearted gals that offered a shoulder to cry on and guys would face off against each other in the street. When somebody was shot on the trail by an outlaw, they just buried him there and made a makeshift cross as a marker. No biggie

I can't imagine Hollywood bring back shows where men wear guns in holsters and defend themselves and others from outlaws when necessary. To Hollywood liberals and certain members of society, that would appear to endorse gun ownership and gun violence.

Plus, young people these days would have a hard time relating. They are more into urban lifestyles.

Cowboy shows were a big thing going all the way back to the dawn of TV in the '50s.
Gene Autry and Roy Rogers were major stars. And I remember reruns of shows like The Lone Ranger, Annie Oakley, The Cisco Kid, The Zane Grey Theater, Death Valley Days, The Adventures of Kit Carson, Trackdown, The Restless Gun, and others.

There were dozens in the '60s and '70s. Aside from the ones you mentioned, some of my favorites were Gunsmoke, Rawhide, The Rifleman, The Virginian, Have Gun Will Travel, Cheyenne, Cimarron Strip, Wild Wild West, ...

Many of the characters in those shows were wholesome roll models.

What do you mean? They have gangster movies, war, and all kind of violent content movies now. Not all the shows back then were not as violent as shows now. 😯 Take Dexter for instance. I could name a hundred more violent than most westerns.

In Indian history they were more brutal to other tribes. They would raid each other and kill braves and take women and horses. They learned scalping from the white man and only acted out when their land was being stolen, their Buffalo decimated by hunters that shot them for sport and just left them to rot, and their way of life was threatened. The white soldiers were more brutal towards them. They made tobacco pouches out of Indian boobs and scrotums. The gave them Smallpox infected blankets on the reservations, and their food was stolen by the Indian Affairs Agents who then sold it on the black market so that they died of hunger or disease. Even today, other races get more than the Indian Tribes. The blacks cry for reparations for slavery, but the Indians get squat. Even the illegal immigrants. It's a blot and shame in American History.

No they are probably going to do some feminist crap where the woman is the main lead and she's this strong ruthless cow girl who don't take no shit. It's not realistic men and women fight differently. Men fight because he has a chip on his shoulder and wants to prove himself by dominating his enemy, women fight because they don't want to get hurt and for their safety. It's just unrealistic how they make the female leads most of the time because you know a woman is not going to do something reckless shit like that. Women pick their fights more carefully.

They are still showing those TV shows but you have to get up at the crack of dawn to watch them.

Patrick and I used to get up every morning 🌄 at 5 am, put on the con fee fee (coffee ☕) and watch "Dragnet" till 6 am. Then came all of the shows that you mentioned.

There's Yellowstone then there's a spinoff of Yelloswtone and then there's a bunch of others too that I saw. I didn't watch the other shows so I don't know them but I've seen them on the sites that I go to sometimes. Maybe you're just not searching enough :)
