The show wasn't racist. Its from another era in time where things were different. Having a flag on the general lee wasn't them giving a big "f*ck you" to other races. And i think they did a good job of ridiculing how it wouldn't fit today's PC audience, When they had Luke and Bo driving through Atlanta and getting laughed at by every black person they saw. and Luke and Bo were too country bumpkin to get that they were be mocked.

I think the clip you had there sums it up if you took it seriously "The Dukes Of Hazzard" would probably be in some trouble but this is where common sense comes in, the essence of the show is white southern culture. I never saw the movie but I presumed the movie stuck to TV show close enough and I don't remember howls of protest at the time.
