Do you enjoy watching HISTORICAL TV SERIES?

I'm currently watching a historical two-season series on Netflix called The Empress.

It's the story of Empress Elisabeth, who ruled the Austrian Empire with her husband Franz Joseph in the 19th Century.

I enjoy watching historical series. In recent years, I've watched The Crown (the story of the UK's Queen Elizabeth II). Reign (the story of Scotland's Queen Mary and her cousin Queen Elizabeth I), and others.

Do you enjoy watching a bit of history?

In general, I do NOT enjoy any kind of TV.

That's why I don't have one.

And: ''series'' - is endless repetition of stuff without adding relevant or new details.

Further: movie makers usually are poor historians - they tend to distort and to pervert given facts.

When it's well researched and executed, absolutely. Rome (HBO/BBC) was excellent.

What would be the point of having them speak authentic Latin, when 99,99% of all people cannot understand that language?

I have seen a Chinese production about Confuzius in original. I missed nothong relevant, I think.

A Chinese production about a Chinese figure in an active Chinese language with a billion speakers makes a lot more sense than an Anglo-American production about a Roman figure in the dead language Latin, with a few hundred thousand speakers at most, mostly clergy.

Anglo-American productions in general make less sense than most others :D

My alltime favorite TV series or movie is the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.
