I saw people calling an anime woke because the author changed the design of a character (who isn't even black). The character used to have gigantic, disproportionate lips and now has normal lips. They're saying that this is woke and that black people who don't like black characters with gigantic, disproportionate lips are victimizing. The funniest thing about all this is that the character isn't even black, he just has dark skin, but he's Japanese. He's a one punch character.

I personally don't care, if I don't like it I don't watch it. I think that those who don't like it should simply ignore it and/or respond accordingly.

Only idiots don't see racism. Racism is not something fictitious that will disappear if we close our eyes and pretend it doesn't exist. It's a fact. If black characters can be drawn in a racist way and black people can't even complain because they'll be called woke and victimizers, then do the same with white characters and let's see the reaction of those who call black people woke because they don't like being drawn in a racist way.

1# Part of the reason racism has been in the spotlight for so long is because people keep it there people keep it alive by keeping it relevant like a trend.

2# No one really draws black people like that anymore though and haven't for decades. Your just throwing fuel on a fire by wanting to add to it.

3# No one would really care aside from a small minority who outrage would make it seem like a much bigger issue then it actually is.

IF you want to combat racism there are places out there were racism is actually as common as you make it out to be here. But per usual no one really cares about the issue if they did they'd be taking their fight to all corners of the world and not just here were they are comfortably protected.

There isn’t a racist way to draw specifically european white people as a race because the system of white supremacy, the root cause of racism and such depictions, never allowed it and as such there aren’t any that exist.
