This is going to sound irrational. It probably is irrational. Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" is a song with 70 + verses. It is a song about Sexual Angst where Cohen writes about his relationships with females and the confusion he faced. It is a gorgeous melody and the chord progression is very church-like. Now it is being used as a platform for songs about patriots dying and the birth of Jesus and an assortment of subjects. But isn't that like singing Amazing Grace to the tune of Louie Louie or Wild Thing It bothers me. I mean in youth groups we sang Amazing Grace to the tune of Gilligan's Island. but that was rather innocent. Just sayin.

I think it's called "dignity" it's about a homeless guy who collects beer cans to save up for an ocean going yacht for his old age. Now I know it's supposed to be about dignity and not relying on government handouts but why doesn't he just get a normal job? I mean there's other priorities in life like good meal and a roof over your head. It's totally unrealistic to expect to save up for a yacht when your homeless by collecting beer cans.

Was just talking about this so it's kind of funny to see this. There's a song called "A Country Boy Can Survive" by Hank Jr. I'm a big fan of this song. Then he later came out with another version, "America Will Survive" which I find to be PC trash that annoys me. I always change the song when it comes up on my pandora station.
