Moody Blues fans. When was the first time you heard their music and became a fan?

There were at least 3 instances for me.
1. Mid `60's, I heard, "Go Now!' on the radio. It didn't turn me into a fan but, I liked it.
2. `72, maybe `73. I was at some kind of family picnic at a huge park sort of near here and they had a 3 story grove that we rented for the day. I was having a blast running around with some of the younger kids, playing "It" or some such thing. Every so often, I'd run up to the top floor and there were a bunch of kids more my age, early to mid teens, all sitting around on the concrete floor listening to some girl's Moody Blues albums she brought with her. I sat and listened for a short while but was too busy playing. I liked it but still hadn't quite become a fan. The only ones I knew were the 2 or 3 hits from the 2nd & 3rd albums. I might've bought the single, "Question" by then.
3. The local progressive rock radio station started doing a Midnight Classic Album show every night and one night in the mid `70's, they did, "On The Threshold Of A Dream". THAT got me interested!! I think that was the first full album of theirs I ever heard. If not, it was, "Days Of Future Passed" which, somehow, I got on an 8-track tape but couldn't listen to it except at my uncle's apartment or in his car, if he'd LET me listen to it without making fun of it! I was becoming a fan!
4. I spent a few months working at Cedar Point in summer of `78 just after "Octave" was released. I'm pretty sure I already had a copy, by then. I lived in the dorms just outside the park way in the back of the building up on the second floor at the start of the hall. WAAAAY down at the other end of the hall, there were 5 other employees living there in one big room and they were HEAVILY into The Moody Blues and played all of their albums over and over again!! THAT's when I became a fan!!
A few months after I got back home, they put out a new album and I bought that as well as all the others I didn't yet have.

I recorded all of them to cassette and on occasion, sat in my room alone with one dim light on and a root beer and bag of pretzel rods beside me, starting at around 7 or 7:30 at night, I'd listen to every album from start to finish, from first to last. The start of, "Days Of Future Passed" would begin just before the Sun went down, just in time for it to be dark out when the evening song began.

I haven't done that in decades. I'd usually do it again when a new album came out but, if I were to do it now, I'd still be listening to the last one after Sun up!! I'd probably have to start around 6 p. m..
