Metallica or Megadeth? Which Band Do you like Better?

Me personally will pick Megadeth over Metallica any day. I think Metallica is way overrated, , I liked Metallica’s first 3 albums , I like justice for all as well , but I feel that’s when Metallica started to go down the tubes cuz after that they turned into Alternicca. Megadeth stayed true to their music and I think Dave Mustaine’s voice is awesome. Who do you like better and why?

Metallica.

True, they did Dave Mustaine dirty. True, Dave Mustaine has more talent and skill in his pinky as a guitarist than Kirk Hammett does in his entire body (pain me though it does to say it).

... BUT...

James Hetfield's voice is universes better than Dave Mustaine. And Dave Mustaine is just a garbage human being. And while Mustaine is more talented than Kirk Hammett, Kirk Hammett's solos do fit better into Metallica's overall sound.

I only liked early Metallica, before they turned Alternicca , Megadeth never let me down they have so many great albums that blows away Alternicca lol

Metallica only because I know them better and have seen them live a few times and their shows were great but I have never seen megadeath that I can remember so it is hard to compare. I'll have to go back through the festivals I've been to and try work out if I have seen megadeath. It is possible I have seen them but I was just too smashed to remember

Musically Megadeth but I can't tolerate Mustaine's whiny vocals.

Metallica's first two albums were ahead of their time. Everything after that does little for me.

LOL I like Mustaine’s voice , I think his voice is unique , but you are right about Megadeth being more musically talented , which is primarily the reason oli choose Megadeth over Metallica

Going with Megadeth. They didn't sell out like Metallica did. They stayed with their style fine tuning it and evolving it. Despite what the record company wanted they did it their way. Some experiments like risk were not a profitable as say countdown to extinction. Risk will always be a better album than st. Anger. More thoughts were put into risk ( more talent too.)
