Metallica or Megadeth?

I prefer Metallica. I only really like 1 Megadeath song, Symphony of Destruction. I like Metallica's songs more. For me, they have a better vibe. Sad but True, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Master of Puppets and Enter Sandman are top notch songs that i can blast in my car at full volume without any regret!

Megadeth if you put a gun to my head, but I honestly don't care for either of them. I hate the vocals of both bands, and the songs lack serious depth. There is far better metal out there and always has been.

Both of them are great, neither is my style though. If I have to pick a favorite probably megadeth. Symphony of destruction is still a superb song and peace sells is my second favorite from them I would say. Not a band I could name 10 songs or so tbh.

One of the bands that I grew up listening to was Metallica (thanks to my eldest brother), so my vote goes to Metallica.

I started listening to them on the release of the black album after some softer / classic rock finally lost its appeal and the fact that my parents had really really poor taste in music that I needed time to ‘shake off’ so perhaps it was a bit of rebellion.


Anyway , first black and then I went back … sorry couldn’t resist , to “ and justice for all , ride the lightning , kill em all , master of puppets and I was even more hooked … ‘twas like a drug … followed them forward fo quite a few albums and a couple of tours before life got busy … great band but I reckon I missed the best of them !

Megadeth , because Megadeth has better songs and better music , I like early Metallica , but they turned Alternicca to me, after justice for all they went down the tubes
