I dunno. I guess Chris Reeves was, but that is probably just because I'm old.
I don't really care since Superman is boring and crap. I mean he is the baseline superhero. The original default one that every other superhero was an improvement on. The tedious invincible guy with an equally idiotic made-up weakness.
Let's be honest... the only DC hero anyone gives a fuck about is Batman.

I'm pretty biased as I grew up watching Smallville. I'm gonna say Tom Welling. He also looks the most Superman-like to me. I never understood why they made Henry Cavill, with his strange facial structure and curly hair, Superman. Like, don't get me wrong, he's a good-looking dude. He just didn't scream Superman to me.

Christopher Reeve. He had a perfect combination of goodness and strength. George Reeves (no relation) was too one dimensional. Henry Cavill has sort of a hard edge. It was not a stretch to see him break somebody's neck with his bare hands. I think that The new Superman , David Corenswet seems very believable and human.

@exitseven ain't that something, hard to believe too she seemed most questionable in career but she gave so much of her life to positive causes in nyc, teaching students, not chasing $. Was surprised Dawn Wells died broke and alone... didn't remarry. Died of covid not long ago. RIP to her. I wondered if possible to meet 'Ginger', she lives not far away.
