In The Age Of The Internet, Is Constructive Criticism Hard To Get?

Yes it is indeed a very basic song, badly written, sure, but compared to commercialized music? This is so much better. People are leaving hate comments on this guy's song as if he's the only one trying to sell nostalgia, as if marketing and fashion aren't already doing that. People hate him for expressing himself, it appears.

When he made acoustic cover, he got less hate. Why? Because he was adhering to the norms of the society, of what it means to write a good song. Weepy acoustics is the way to go, in the age of 2020 and Tiktok it appears.

As an artist, do you struggle to get constructive feedback for your works? Do you think people nowadays are too judgmental to human art, they're too used to oversaturated media and polished marketing?
