Do you think I should just give up on the entertainment industry and modeling for being rejected so many times?

Okay so things are difficult enough being a 6’4 tall woman. I’m used to rejection from dates and peers. I’m rail thin, but I do have curves. Anyways so I’ve tried of for modeling several times but was told I was too tall. Even when I was 16 I tried our but got thrown out. I’ve been 6’4 since I was 16 around that age.
I’ve tried out for plays but got rejected. Some I played parts I didn’t want. I’ve played a tree, an animal or a teacher. Theater wasn’t it.
So two weeks ago I got asked to audition for a modeling agency. They like me but the problem is…. can you guess? My HEIGHT. They told me I have potential but the problem is my 6’4 statures and it will throw everyone out. They only want 5’9-6’0” women for modeling.

I got told to my face that 6’4 is so ugly for modeling and it will look ugly because I stick out and I’m too wide.
I just left! I’m done! Nobody wants a 6’4 woman. DONE. I’ll just stick with the job I have now. Department store.

Go to the agencies. If there's a place anywhere in commercial entertainment for someone like you they will be falling all over each other to sign you. If they don't, it's not going to happen, and you don't need to keep asking these same questions every day.

Who would have thought Peter Dinklage would become so rich and famous? Or Hagrid? I'll tell you who: an agent. They know down to the penny what sells and what doesn't. If they say no, it's a no.

Simon Cowell used to do this same sort of thing in the early days of American Idol. He was a record producer but everyday people can't get to record producers, which is why I'm saying go to an agent. But he would tell singers straight out whether they had it or they didn't. And he was 100% right, all of the time (now he's useless because he says yes to everyone and says everyone is the greatest talent he's ever seen, it's sickening). But watch those early episodes on YouTube. He mercilessly eliminates people who don't have talent. Which is what the entire entertainment industry does every single day.

I used to like Simon Cowell. He used to the most honest judges ever even when he took it too far. I agree he became a “yes” and he’s just weak and pathetic! I hate that he became a yes person. I don’t respect him anymore. But I do get what you’re saying. I went to agencies and I keep getting rejected. What agencies are going to accept women that are 6’4?

You could probably do niche work like brand ambassador deals, but it's EXTREMELY difficult to make a full time living doing modeling unless you're a top 1% girl.

If you don't walk outside with at least one person stopping to stare or chat you up, you're not her. You could be a 10/10 in your tiny town but in LA you'd be a 5, that's the reality.

That said there's always a niche for every type of girl, you just have to build your own audience. There's one OF chick that does thicc & tall girl content. But decide if that's worth killing any future relationship options you have first. The internet is forever. Good luck.

You should audition where this height would make sense for example for some advertisement of nutrition and sports or some fantasy movie something like avatar where your height will make you a real star... usually guys like me who is 5'11 will not look so heroic with a girl so tall so they'll reject you... and for modelling women are usually short and you can't fit in their sized clothes they need a smaller average model to fit everyone's size you are very rare being embrace yourself and do whatever opportunities you get and keep trying everything and make sure you have enough money to have comfortable life first ❤️

What am I supposed to do? Life is so unfair for women over 6ft.
I know not a lot of clothes fit someone my size. I wish I was 5’8-5’11, even 5’4 instead of 6’4.

Okay- this is not a binary choice. Many people try to get fun jobs like being in show biz or the media. A thousand people want each of those jobs. Only one gets the job and thy usually are some politicians kid.

This does not mean you have to spent the rest of your life working at WalMart.

You seem like very smart kid. Try to imagine a better future for yourself, make a plan and work towards it.

You will be surprised at how it will turn out.

It's difficult to get work as a model if you are not the right height. The clothes simply won't fit if you are too short or too tall. My wife is very attractive for her age but is only 5-4 and cannot model for the same reason.

To get acting roles, one must be able to act. It looks easy because the professionals have worked hard to make it look easy.

If height is the only problem holding you back and acting is the thing you want to do above all else, consider cosmetic surgery. I mentioned this before.

Stop the modeling and probably the acting. I live in Hollywood and have been involved in the industry; you will likely continue to get rejected based on your height.

I won’t be surprised if I got rejected again. Why couldn’t I have been 5’5 for acting or at least 5’9 for modeling? Women over 6ft have it so tough. These 5’8-5’11 women complaining.
There’s no point in me to keep continuing to pursuing the industry as a 6’4. I’m so jealous of the women in the acting AND modeling agency. What they hell am I going to do, work in a department store for the rest of my life?

Why did I have to be 6’4? Women like Selena Gomez is about 5’5 and Christina Aguilera is like 5’1-5’2. Gwendolyn Christie is 6’3 so there no reason I can’t get a job in the industry.

At your height you would need to do some kind of niche modeling. I saw on youtube, the world's tallest models. Something like that.
