I liked some of his work, but i don’t think i would go so far as to suggest that i’m a fan. I luv’d him in “Mary Poppins” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”, but i didn’t much care for “The Dick Van Dyke Show”. Seems like he was a part of one of the many mystery series back in the ‘80s that i didn’t much care for at the time.

I first saw him on the original Dick Van Dyke show as a kid. My family watched every episode. That pratfall he did in the intro was great. Mary Tyler Moore was cute as hell and the other characters were also great.

We went to see Mary Poppins when it was released. I was 10.

I've seen most of his many appearances on film and TV. He was charming and talented; a great actor and comedian.
