Funny you thought this picture is a good choice for the question when its one of his biggest feats in comics.
Speaking Darth Vader vs. Anakin though yes, his suit was construced in a way of amplifying his pain and hatred and therefore dark side but at the same time as a weakness so he could never defeat sidious.
Vader was strong compared to others but weak compared to his potential.
