Why isn't the modern audience supporting their games?

Games like Relooted, Concord, Highguard, now 1348 Ex Voto are meant for those people, some have been free and still no one to be found playing them.
And gamers get called chuds bc they simply dont want to play games that are clearly not for them, gamers get blamed for shit games failing.

1348 had 100k wishlists on steam, and couldn't even break 110 demo downloads/players. Where are all the lesbians for the lesbian knight game? It was free!!

All these games are meant for the modern audience, lgbt, representation for minorities. Yet the people crying and screaming for other games to become like that, they never pay up, they never show up, and they never shut up.

Dont get me wrong, I'm an old school gamer and hate all this dei/cringe rep shit they are pushing, idc if I'm a minority or not.

I'm still pissed they flattened Lara Croft, she was my role model growing up, dead or alive games have been banned from most countries.

I don't know man. It's weird. I don't get those people not supporting games those people complained about wanting.

Those games are crap. Monotone grinding often with unfair PvP, item shop which lures gamers with gambling boxes in some games and P2W items.
Game industry maximized customer milking mechanics in games but people react allergic to that.
Some people say it's the wokeness, I don't think this has huge influence, it's rather the fact that we have hundreds Fortnite clones which can't sustain acceptable player numbers, while other "woke" games like STO, SWTOR. ESO... which are more than 15 years old MMO have still stable player bases.

Publishers chase vibes, not fun: weak marketing, mediocre gameplay, bad timing, and tiny communities kill them. People who yell online are often activists, not paying customers. Steam wishlists don’t equal actual interest, just “I’ll maybe try it later.”

Gamers still mainly reward good mechanics, strong art direction, and hype, not checklists.

I usually don’t buy games right when they’re released. I prefer to wait for sales or look for cracks. For example, I bought Strayed Lights years after it came out because it was on sale and looked interesting. Maybe I’ll start Ex Voto, but I’m more interested in Mafia: Old Country and Strayed Lights now. Then I hope Control Resonant comes out.
By the way, 😄 I don’t spend all my waking hours on my laptop. Most of the time, I’m sleeping, thinking, or cooking my food or I sh*tting in my toilet. For now I focus on Stayed Light, by the way it's a good game, can recommend.
