I have only recently started buying Blu-rays (I know, I'm super late to the game) because certain movies/shows are not available on the streaming services I currently have. Even tho I don't watch DVDs very often, I plan to at least buy Blu-rays/4K versions of movies that I really love and are hard to find on streaming services.
yeah physical media needs to make a comeback cause of that issue
I have all seasons of adventure time on DVD and that’s it. It’s the only show I’ve liked enough to want physical copies to watch whenever I have no internet.

Nowadays everything is streaming however from time to time I breakout the DVD player & a few movies as well. During a hurricane there are a lot of outages in my area mainly internet or phone service so when that happens & the lights are still on I fish through my DVD boxes & watch a few movies.
Physical media is superior to digital streaming in every way. You can't "phase out" a bookshelf or de-list a movie you already paid for while its on your shelf.
Hell I still have VHS tapes. Eat that cyber-dystopia.
I still own a ton of DVDs and Blu-rays and I’ll never fully get rid of them 😄
Streaming is super convenient, but movies disappear from platforms all the time, or they get edited. My physical copies have director’s commentaries, behind-the-scenes, gorgeous box art, and festival editions I picked up while traveling. They feel like little art objects, not just “content” 📀🎬

I don't know gang, that shi be looking vintage and cool though.
Jk I remember I had a DVDas a 5 year old where Dora the explorer teaches you ABCD and other stuff and she pissed me off them also lol. And I had random DVDs which you find on end of your school textbooks, all have stories of Hindi or English literature or videos of Social science or Science subjects. Damn, after exam I am going to search for those CDs and play them on my old thick laptop.
Dora pissed you off? lol
Yeah, bish had huge ahh eyes and was still blind and I hated that bowl cut.
I appreciate being able to watch what I like, when I like, without interspersed adverts and without a corporation knowing every time I pause to make a cup of tea.
It's cheaper, too.
Yes, you can pry my physical media from my cold dead hands. Sure it's less convenient then streaming, but physical media offers better quality and no fear of it being removed, it your'es to enjoy any time anywhere as long as you want.
I probably have as much as in that picture, I do watch them from time to time, but I also stream since I get lazy and don’t feel like digging through all of it to find the ones that I want to see
We still have many DVDs, but truthfully I don't know why - we never watch them anymore.
Yes, although I have encoded all of them to HD media files so that I could place them on a server for easy viewing.
We still have a VCR and DVD player so yes..
Whoa a vcr. Ancient technology lol
I have older siblings lol. I still don't know what happened to our N64 hmm 😅
Nope I stream everything
Yes but I never watch them.
