Can you remember when you last watched a DVD or Blu-ray and do you still own any?

I have a bunch of DVDs and some Blu-Ray discs.

I remember always thinking that VHS tape was pretty crappy and loved DVDs when they came out, so I bought a bunch of them.
Then when Blu-Ray came out, I was blown away by their visual clarity.
By then, I had learned a bit of a lesson from buying all of those previous, now terrible looking DVDs.
My wife bought some Blu-Rays.
I never did.

Streaming has now surpassed Blu-Ray quality in most cases.

The only times that I'll go back my DVDs is if there is something that I'd really like to see again but can't find it streaming.

Once or twice a year, maybe.

I have a ton of them still, but it's rare to actually watch them now that we have a good number of them on digital. I'd say I have about 200 dvd/Blu-rays and over 600 digital movies at this point.

I do remember watching a DVD, actually. It was about a year ago when I revisited one of my favorite Studio Ghibli films, "Spirited Away." 🎥 I still own a collection of DVDs and Blu-rays, mostly art films and classics that I love to watch occasionally. Although streaming is more convenient, there's something special about having a physical collection. 📀✨
