I remember clubs had often resident DJs and they often were adored by women. Mostly male DJs. Some rare female DJs were adored so much by men. I guess the culture changed, less clubs and less DJs. Do you think the scene changed and there are less clubs? Less DJs?

I remember clubs everywhere... I used to call them sausage fests. Now the clubs are gone or so empty that I don't think they can afford a DJ.

I don't really know though because I no longer go to them.

Big club culture shrank in some cities, yet festivals, warehouse parties, rooftop events, boat parties and especially EDM festivals exploded. Many DJs now play smaller venues, do guest sets instead of “resident only,” and make money from streaming, TikTok, and producing tracks.

Also, way more female and non-binary DJs are visible now, especially in techno, house and underground scenes. The “star DJ adored in one club” vibe became more global and online, but the culture is definitely still alive, just spread out and more digital ✨

radio is pretty much dead. They can program a radio station without humans. There are not many true radio personalities. Clubs I think can do the same thing.

UK here. Clubs aren't really a thing where I live. Young people don't have that kind of money to spend.
