Would you upgrade to a bigger, better TV if the content improved?

i would like a theater room. like my house doesn't have to be huge but i'd need a theater. actually, my house will be huge but it will look humble. still nice, but you wouldn't know that it hid a ballroom, theater and a bunker mansion under it.

I might… I saw 96” tvs at Costco for around $1,400 the other day. These was 6k displays too. 120hz refresh rate.

I got a 77-inch LG OLED TV at Best Buy the other day for about $1,400 with tax. I have a 55-inch OLED by LG that I'm going to put in my bedroom and replace it with this one. If you look at or own one OLED TV, every subsequent one will be OLED technology. In most cases, it replaces everything else and is much better than everything else available right now, as far as I'm concerned.

Well by no means is that a bad TV at all and you might be very happy with it. Having owned an OLED TV for quite some time now in the form of my 55-in LG I would never have anything but an OLED. I don't think I could watch anything lesser in terms of visual quality and resolution. My TV is also 4K with a 120 refresh rate. I think the refresh rate becomes extremely important. If you are going to play video games on the TV. I'll have a PlayStation 5 is attached to an HDMI port on that same TV but I never use it because I cannot stand the controller which is simply very awkward for me to use. Most people like them but I can't stand mine. I'm thinking that I'm going to sell that PS5 pretty soon since it's barely been used and somebody should get some use out of it. So for people that play games on their TV, I think that refresh rate is very important. For me. However, what I really care the most about is the visual quality and the picture resolution. I love LG so much that I even have an LG OLED computer monitor. Unfortunately it's not as wonderful as I was expecting. It's still pretty good though.

Oh yes, 4K versus 6K. I'm not real familiar with 6K resolution since I've only seen a few sets with it and I can sort of notice the difference, but not very much. More importantly though, I think there is a real dearth of 6K content at this point, mine which makes paying extra for 6K resolution. Not very attractive right now. At least. In the future though, I expect that 6K and even 8K resolution with the appropriate content is going to be a real winner.

Thank you very much for going back and identifying that TCL set and posting your findings here. If you hadn't I think I would have sort of been racking my brain a bit about it and making a lot of phone calls.
