What newer rock and metal bands today have consistently great songs?

I love music especially rock and some metal , as well as other music as well , but when I think of newer rock bands that actually have a lot of great songs, I think of bands like Alice In Chains, Stone Temple pilots , Soundgarden , Tool , Pantera, type o negative , etc.. because that era was when I was in my mid to late teens but today’s era, It doesn’t really seem like their are bands like that anymore , I heard a few decent songs on the radio but I couldn’t really tell you who they were , just off of one song, so do you know any rock bands today that have a variety of great songs? Not just one hit wonders? Please share

Mastodon, Gojira, Deftones’ later stuff, Ghost, Baroness, Karnivool, Riverside, TesseracT, Parkway Drive (newer albums), Architects, Royal Blood, Highly Suspect, Nothing But Thieves, Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, Spiritbox, Code Orange, and Starset.

Most of them have multiple albums you can play straight through with minimal skips. 🎧🔥

I don't know of any. The last one I heard of that I liked marginally was Fear Factory and that was about 30 years ago. The last good incarnation of King Crimson was also metallish until they started doing that 3 drummers and 3 bass players bullshit 20 years ago!! 2 of each is plenty!!

This bands are pretty much old bands nowadays, Pantera had their debut album in the 80s!

The fact that you see them as "new" shows how stale the rock and metal scene has been in the last 30 years.

I can't think of any truly "new" band that has great songs.

I barley listen to any new bands at all.

Yea it seems like the 90’s were the last of great music bands that had a lot of great songs , there are some songs I hear from today’s era , that are decent but only one song if that , unless the band is still around from the earlier eras , that seems like all I know about these days lol

And it’s sad because a lot of the great bands from the earlier eras that are still around today have new singers because the original singer is dead , like Chris Cornell, Lane Staley, Scott Weiland , Peter Steele. to name a few , I feel if they were still alive today we would still have great music , nowadays it’s not so great
