It’s pretty good. Honestly, Marilyn Burns sells it better than most. She didn’t get enough credit as a “scream queen”. The only more harrowing portrayal in my mind is Sarah Butler in the remake of “I Spit On Your Grave”. I actually had to repeatedly remind myself “She gets revenge” through the entire r*pe scene and had to skip part of it because she sold it so well. Absolutely blood curdling, and i’m not easily disturbed by fiction.

I've only ever seen clips but it was banned in the UK on initial release, that is to say the BBFC refused to award it a certificate meaning it couldn't be shown by national cinema chains.

BBFC finally passed the uncut original in 1999, cementing the national decline in moral values.

The 1974 original is absolutely good, but in a very raw, grimy way 😈🎥

It was the kind of movie that was actually a bit scary. I mean in comparison to Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm street which is comical in how not scary it is because of the over the top retardation.

Which one? There are many movies snd i have them all except the one made in the 70's and they say that it's the best, but the remake in 2003 was also very successful
