Hell yeah! Though like a lot of people I don't agree with a lot of the decisions the creators have made over the years.

The Sonic has too many friends cliche has been talked about to death but I do agree with it. It's part of why the classic games are so much better.

In my opinion the only characters we really need are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow.

I know Shadow isn't a classic character but he's a huge exception due to how iconic and popular he is and basically being the Vegeta to Sonic's Goku.

Outside those 4 though I really don't care about any of the other characters. Amy is fine I guess but only as comic relief, but beyond that I can't even name any of the others.

Against Super Mario Bros 1, Sonic would have been interested me. As soon as Super Mario Bros 3 broke linearity, Sonic became a bland platformer to me. I liked its atmosphere back then though, how the world felt. But gameplay wise, I found it boring, for 1990

Yeah, I am 😊 Sonic games are such a vibe, especially the classic 2D ones like Sonic 2 and Sonic Mania with that fast-paced platforming and colorful retro art. I love the character designs and how expressive Sonic and the others are, very fun to draw. The soundtracks are amazing too, super energetic and nostalgic 🎮✨

Used to… it got kinda corny after a while. Probably was me just getting older, but they tried playing up the “Sonic is cool” trope a bit too much.

I mean honestly, once I played Halo back in the day (I was probably age 12), it took over and changed how, and what, games I played.

I got a lot of nostalgia for the original Sega Genesis sonic the hedgehog 1 & 2. Even the old Sega music brings back some fond childhood memories.
