I have a video of a first recording taped in Jamaica late 72 or 73. In it is a most animated Jagger who must have done something right as he doesn't miss a thing. It's almost comical in areas, the hat, the bored drummer, and a seemingly content Richards on acoustic. The title, Angie... Aaaaaannnnnnnnnnnngi.

I can't say enough about this one song performance. Difficulties doing this song aside, Mick really owns the moment. It's a nice song to watch portrayed at the hands of a master.

I liked them a lot in the late '60s and '70s.
Satisfaction, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Sympathy for the Devil, Brown Sugar, and Wild Horses are some of my favorites

The band underwent changes in personnel and experimented with different genres over the years. I like their earlier stuff best. I didn't like the disco phase.

I saw them a few times in auditoriums and arenas the '70s. I saw Prince open for them at the Los Angeles Colosseum in 1981. And, on my second date with my future wife, I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers open for them at the Rose Bowl in 1994.

Keith Richards blows me away on guitar. And Mick is not only an athlete, but he vibrates with rhythm. I first realized his pulsating timing when I saw the movie "Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones" in the '70s. The guy is like an atomic clock. He is also a businessman.

I have nothing but respect for the Stones.

This video just caught my eye, actually the hat did, as he strolls out. Then his animated performance throughout the tune.

I saw him play once, I don't know if you know anything about drums but, you're SUPPOSED to keep it steady with the trap cymbals and hit the snare on alternating beats and the bass drum on the other beats if you're playing a simple 4/4 beat. Chuvcky couldn't do that!! Instead of hitting the traps 4 beats per bar, when it came time to hit the snare, he would NOT hit the traps on that beat!! To me, that's just somebody that can't get it together to play with BOTH hands at the same time!!
Then there's Ringo who usually swings across the traps so that he gets two beats per stroke instead of just one. THAT'S kinda hard to do!!

I don’t love them , but I do enjoy some of their music but I wouldn’t put them on my top 10 list , but It doesn’t mean I don’t like them , they just aren’t my favorite band that’s out there. I know the Rolling Stones are a very popular band and received a lot of recognition for their music so i definitely give them credit for that.

Yea now I feel most of their music is overplayed which makes me not really want to listen to them much anymore, but that happens with a lot of bands that are overplayed as well, I still like the band just some of their songs are way overplayed. My favorite band of all time is Rush and for a lot of years Rush was barely played on the radio and were barely mainstreamed , now some of their songs are being played all the time like Tom Sawyer , Subdivisions, which kind of makes me upset because they were barely played on the radio for years and now it’s like they are mainstreamed from poser fans , I still love the band , because I been a die hard fan ever since I was 11 years old and saw them in concert 38 times , and 39 soon at the end of August I am seeing them with their new female drummer , but now those songs are overplayed too much the point it doesn’t make me that excited to hear them much anymore

Yeah, I have a friend who's crazy over Rush since at least the late 70s.
The rhing that turned me off to the Stones back in the 80s was that song Sympathy for the D...
I stopped listening to them completely for decades.

I saw them live when I was in 9th grade. It was the first concert I ever went to. I had an uncle in the theater business that got my cousins and me tickets. We sat so close to the stage that when Mick Jagger came out he was carrying a basket full, of rose petals. He started throwing them into the audience and we could catch some.
