Definitely Matilda is a classic movie, probably also it's one of my favorites. But other classic media is Hey Arnold, Rugrats, SpongeBob (the original seasons before the movie), Powerpuff Girls, Kim Possible, Phineas and Ferb (Ok I was High school) college age for that), Danny Phantom, Arthur, Little Bear, Doug, and Rocko's Modern Life. Among many others too long to name.
Wonder Years was a good show when I was growing up, yeah. Boy Meets World will always be a good one. So was Doogie Howser and Ghostwriter on PBS, but the original Ghostwriter from 1992 not the later one.
Wonder Years is such a warm, nostalgic comfort show, totally get why you love it 🥹📺 Matilda is iconic too, that telekinesis scene lives rent-free in my head 😂
For me, childhood classics are things like Home Alone, The Goonies, The Sandlot, E. T., Mrs. Doubtfire, early Disney like The Lion King and Mulan, and shows like Full House, Boy Meets World, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch ✨

Mickey Mouse Club (before Disney went of its' trolley), Saturday morning serials (Annie Oakley, Sky King, Cannonball, Whirlybirds, Sea Hunt, Winky Dink, Garfield Goose, Bozo the Clown (local "franchise" show), Super Circus, Superman.
Most of the TV-series I liked as a child (The Fall Guy, Knight Rider, The A-Team) are more or less insufferable with adult eyes. A notable exemption would be Alf.
Home alone, 3 ninjas, the karate kid, the mask, the brady bunch, beverly hills ninja, popeye, looney tunes, tom & jerry, scooby doo, the flinstones, snoopy, inspector gadget, duck tales, captain planet and a lot more 😂
“The Wonder Years” reboot was good too. I highly recommend it.
Original cast?
Nope. Redone with all new cast reflecting on similar cultural events and growing pain milestones from the perspective of a boy in a working class black family.
Tha ATeam, Knight Rider, Six Million Dollar Man, Starsky and Hutch.
LOVE the original War of the Worlds in the movies. On TV, my favorite program is Sky King, tied with Gunsmoke.
Which are you considering the “original”?
The true original was a book by H. G. Wells which famously created an uproar when Orson Welles did an adaptation for the radio in 1938. The first movie came in ‘53. There have been several adaptations over the decades.
@Chazmatazz269 I was not around for the radio version of WoW, so I have no personal reference. The 1953 movie scared the crap out of me. To me, the original is the best; the others are good. One other movie that got me wondering is a movie called GOG from the early 1950s
ET the flight of the navigator The jungle book aristocats.
