The 2nd episode of Season 4 premiered today (Thursday 30-Jul-2026), streaming on Paramount+.

The episode, titled The Griffin Incident, has a few members of the crew experiencing several weird things after they discover the Griffin starship, which disappeared 9 years ago.

It's one of the weirdest episodes ever in the Star Trek universe.

We won't spoil it for you, let's just say the writers must have been on something when they wrote this episode.

I didn't know the show existed. I haven't watched any star trek for a long time. There's been a lot of problems with woke filth in the show. It's not really Star Treck. Its the same with the Star Wars series they're putting out. Marxist takes on everything and shot through with vile homosexual garbage that has no buisiness on TV or anyplace outside an institution. If this show is free of that id consider watching. Sadly writers just throw disgusting subject matter in as if it's somehow going to be taken as normal. It isn't and never will be.

Even TNG or DS9 had such weird episodes which didn't bring anything to the main story but it's definitely too much in SNW.
I don't even know what is the main story in Strange New Worlds. because it's diluted with too much pointless content.

I haven’t seen it yet 😅 Paramount+ drops are geo-delayed for me sometimes, so I’m a bit behind. But I absolutely love when Trek goes full “weird” with cosmic or psychological stuff, so The Griffin Incident sounds right up my alley. I’ll definitely watch it soon, especially if it’s being called one of the weirdest ever in the franchise 🚀✨

I saw the original Star Trek series when it ran on network television in the late 1960's. Beyond that, I know nothing!

The last one that had some magic in my view in my opinion is Next Generation. Probably purely cause of Patrick Stewart.
