Is Cardi B a genuinely talented rapper or just a controversy-driven industry product?

I have never thought Cardi B was actually talented, and I don't understand how people support her. Her career feels built around constant controversy, being loud, obnoxious, and disrespectful—like when she called a 4-year-old a "bitch" on live video over a game.

To me, a true rapper needs clever wordplay, vocal delivery, a distinct tone, and the ability to tell a story or exude genuine passion. Her music lacks that. Her live performances don't move me at all. At the iHeartRadio Music Festival, Ciara put on a vastly superior show, while Cardi relied on a trashy outfit showing off her coochie and BBL which looked terrible. I saw her BET Awards performance too, and it wasn't good at all; she had to use a stripper pole just to distract everyone from her lack of stage presence and talent.

I think labels just view her as highly marketable to keep pushing her. Do you feel the same way, or do you view her as a real star?

Purely Marketable: She relies entirely on controversy, shock value, a major corporate machine, and revealing outfits rather than genuine raw talent.

Legitimately Talented: She possesses a distinct vocal delivery, street smarts, and an organic star power that legitimately connects with millions of listeners.

She has completely run her course: She has passed her peak, and her constant presence and antics are actively contributing to the decline of female rap.

Undecided / Neutral: I see both sides of her career but want to see where her upcoming music and tours take her.
