I think this would be a brilliant crossover. Frame it as a versus event following the events of “Underworld” (2003), where Blade and Selene start out head to head until they realize that they have a common enemy. Over the course their team up, they realize that they have more in common than they could have imagined. We could get at least three movies. First movie, they target the vampires and inadvertently awaken the elders. Second movie, they target the lycans, while the elders regain their strength. Third movie, Blade and Selene versus the oldest and most powerful vampires for the fate of their species.
But what if Blade and Selene met before the events of “Underworld”, when her loyalty to the coven was at its peak? One on one, who takes that fight?
What if Selene realizes she underestimated Blade and calls in the Death Dealers? Then maybe Blade calls on The Midnight Sons or the Avengers of the Supernatural. Personally i think the latter is a foregone conclusion for Blade and his team. There’s way too much power there for what essentially amounts to military trained vampires. Maybe some of the “Underworld” elders and Dracula would have to be added to make it interesting.
How do you think Blade would hold up in the “Underworld” universe?

He'd dominate.
Problem is the two worlds don't line up unless it was like a multiverse cross over. For instance blades vampires have a Problem with silver
Yeah, i found that an interesting twist on vampirism. They kind had to leave that part out in order to create the war with the lycans. At least to modernize it.
But you think Blade would dominate despite so many of his weapons being silver based?
Well it's world building. Whether it's marvel, startrek, transformers, star wars there are certain rules and specifics relevant. For instance battlestar galactica wouldn't work in star wars
I disagree. Crossovers have been done successfully and i think Blade and “Underworld” are a good match.
What i think you’re actually referring to is plot armor. The character that wins depends entirely and exclusively on who is writing the story. That’s also why we see most of the “versus” matchups actually result in team ups. The fans get to argue whether or not Batman really could beat Superman given enough prep time. Then they figure out their mothers share a name and nobody has to go home mad that their team “lost”.
I like that Blade might not be as effective in “Underworld”, giving him that “What the fu…?” moment all over again. Forcing him to reexamine and retool for a new threat that reminds him so much of the old threat. There is no drama without stakes. There’s no point in dropping our heroes into situations where the outcome is a foregone conclusion. That’s why “Superman” was always a trash concept. Superman clears everything, always without breaking a sweat. When they ramp up the threat, “Oh, he’s always been holding back. He’s really even MORE powerful than the MOST powerful thing EVER.” Superman clears again. What a lazy and boring concept.
Crossovers let us reexamine those foregone conclusions because suddenly there are new rules and a new strongest thing ever.
Seen that in justice league were superman was way more powerful that the rest put together and steppenwolf
