I reckon for hard-core heavyweight lifters then yeah but that could only be lifted, if you wanted to swing this thing it would entirely break your stance, throw out your back, knock you off your feet or possibly cripple your arms.

You could, in no way, use this as a effectively practical weapon as it would be consistently keeping your defences low when attempting to strike.

You could argue that you could use hydraulics to make lifting this hunk of metal easier and possibly even swing it without breaking a stance, but if you want an effective weapon, wouldn't you want a weapon that deals average damage and can be consistently used without damaging your body?

Another reason to use a smaller and easier to wield weapon is that if you had the long dick style sword in these images and required the hydraulics, that is a higher risk for failure as the hydraulics are being put under substantial pressure. -_-

The point of gravity isn't in the handle so its harder to lift it from there

Not only is it impractical it's also useless unless Guts weighs more himself. Even if he had the strength to lift it, there would be no point because the centre of mass would be on the sword itself, meaning thst he would constantly tilt ove.

The same way superman lifting a whole plane makes no sense because he'd just make holes where his hands were pressing against the thing.
