@TheButterfly What i'm getting at is her brother gets more freedom because he can defend himself but her going out alone especially since she is sheltered so much and therefore has probably little to no social circle (aka friends) will be prone to possible rapist who would see her as an easy target.
All it takes is to drug rape her then get her back into a car.

@Cxxlin Men are stronger on average than women and despite hollywood movies showing 110 lb women beating 200lb men the vast majority of women are hard press to tango with men if he gets serious. A man is better able to fend off attackers and protect himself than a woman is.

@Cxxlin No they cannot. Women on average do not have the same muscle density and upper body strength than men. They also lack testosterone which helps you in a fight and have more fat.
It seems a lot of girls confuse guys holding back because they don't want to go to jail as there actual fighting abilities when you guys assault/slap them.

I guarentee she has friends, friend groups usually form at school, which she would go to. And if your parents are over protective it is more likely she will rebel once she's out from under their thumb and possibly put herself in a bad situation. There is nothing wrong with wanting to live a little

Exactly my point. Most girls who rebel tend to do it to the extreme (kind of like making up for loss time they were locked in the house) and do shit that can easily get them drug rapped. Women are lighter to carry than a male and all it takes is one guy to lie that his girlfriend got wasted and take her into a cab back to his place and have his way with her.

@Cxxlin Less likely. Men are heavier to carry and therefore difficult. Men can better defend themselves. Men on average have a higher threshold for alcohol than women.
But you said "that's what your parents are trying to prevent", but in all actuality they may be making it worse
Men are altogether more likely to be the victims of violent crime.

I first heard this somewhere completely different, though, and I've heard it many times in many other places.
99% of guys wouldn't and statistics say men get attacked way more often. And die way more often. Anyway tons of girls do whatever and are fine... rapists are usually friends/family.

@Cxxlin On the streets, a woman is more likely to be raped than a man. I'll exclude jail and prison here because that's an enitrely different world. But let's compare the sexes.
Women (generally) - smaller, lighter, wide hips, less muscle, more fat, smaller shoulders, etc etc
Men (generally) - bigger, heavier, narrow hips, broad shoulders, lean, can be very muscular, etc etc
Even if both the attacker (male in this case) and potential victim (female in the case) are 5'9 170, he is more likely to overcome her.
And this is person v person only. This doesn't take into account weapons, location, fighting abilities, if there's more than one attacker, and so on. I don't mean to sound sexist but that's just how we're built.
And yes some men can be less muscular and some women can be more muscular but just going off of the average
