Reminiscence: High School Friends

Last month along with my senior class of 2017 I graduated high school. We all had our cheers, laughs, and duck-faced selfies after receiving our diplomas, but it also meant of course that it was time for us to go our separate ways into the real world, including the guys. Throughout senior year compared to the rest, we were pretty much laid back, doing the assignments just to quickly get them over with, and go back to chilling, however I had this one special group.

Reminiscence: High School Friends

It was a group of guys, one of which I met 4 years before and saw again last year in August 2016. In the beginning, we were scrambled in the study hall (a class we can pretty much do anything). Now personally if you'd met me, guy or girl, attractive or friend, we'd play cards... and that's exactly how I formed them all together. Shifting from various games such as Uno, to more unfamiliar games like Egyptian Rat Slap, the guys and I really got into each game, especially myself according to them.

Sooner or later, more people showed up to hang out with the guys, and we really ended up being the lead this group in class minus the populars, and one by one, everyone there and kick my ass and cards one way or another. Even the newbies, which I still just don't understand!

Some of us had nicknames such as: Gino, Big Prez, and one of which that I've already forgotten, and we will address each and as such. But what makes these guys special is that we were all true friends, doing everything as a group, leaving no one behind. Once one of our friend's brother got into a fight and got our friend angry. We stopped him of course, took him away, and later chilled out and had a game of cards to calm him down.

The guys and I had even ordered a pizza together during class, because we had all decided we were sick of having to eat school food. I was always their primary target for teasing, because I was always too invested in the games, I was always asking about the next time that we'd order another pizza, and because I would shit talk before I got my ass beaten, but I had always behaved that way because I actually loved all of them. They were all friends, and we actually went through a lot together even though some of which I had met on my senior year. I had my individual fun with a few of them dating back to middle school, together we sometimes skipped lunch to stay in class to play cards, we'd play games at lunch, and we walked across that stage. I won't be seeing them for awhile, but I have a bigger love for my friends than anyone I would ever meet.
