Life in my area is basically the same as always and super chill

So I live in a small area and I only go out for two reasons

One: Walking the dog

Two: Getting food and drinks from local shop for myself by walking

The dog one I only ever do at around 8:45PM and use the same road I know as it has a wide road and is basically empty at that time.

When I do see someone down that road, we both go the opposite sides of the road and say good day to one another and go on with our walks.

When walking down the roads I may see some strangers watering their gardens and they may look up or I will just say good day to them regardless, everyone is friendly when greeted and greet us back.

Going to the local store is not a frequent thing, we get our household groceries online, this is just for when I runt out of snacks and alcohol. I am good friends with the till staff and we ask each other how our days have been, talk about the weather, have a laugh and go on our way.

I feel that the Corona virus is affecting people who live in larger areas or are used to going out with friends more often.

I am lucky to get to go out with my friends once in a month, so when the lockdown took place nothing really felt different.

I understand that there ARE people out there being affected by the fact they can't go and visit their families, that does suck and I agree, but we only ever visited our family when getting them their prescriptions or on holidays or birthdays. Our family lives a walking distance away as well, so we can get their prescriptions or groceries and put them on their doorstep and tell them by phone so they can collect it.

Even on the Thursday 8:00 clap I go to the doorstep and clap outside our house and when it is finished I chat with the neighbours across the road or next to us from a distance, complimenting their plants, talking about the temperature and weather.

Now that I finally have been introduced into using the video call feature...I know right...I never tried it till last Monday....Anyways, when I used it, the call has now become a daily thing for me and my friends on my walk with my dog at 8:45PM, I will walk around and chat with them in a group call without being worried about my parents hearing what we talk about :)

I get to have a lot of time to myself when walking and get to do photography outdoors, sing in the roads, but the most enjoyable thing I find is when I hear someone over a fence when I am walking and I yell "MARCO!" and they yell back "POLO!" or if I sing a few parts of a intro and someone who is walking is forced to take part.

Such as

"No one told us life was gonna be this way" and then wait for them to do the clap sound

"Our house....in the middle of the street" and wait for the others to start singing as well

Obviously there is a lot of sad things happening in regards to the situation, but over in my part people just want to try and find positive parts in it like how they have gotten into checking out their garden wildlife and some getting into woodworking etc.

My point is that in my part, people aren't letting the situation make them depressed and pessimistic, try to find some happiness around you as well <3
