You've heard the saying ''God helps those who help themselves.'' And while it is not at all biblical it is true. When you are sick you must aid nature in your recovery. As a child your parents can only encourage you to take your first steps. They cannot take them for you.
I often wonder why certain people are allowed to be lazy and indolent. They don't work or do anything useful yet expect the world to be stopped for them. They become irate at the thought of someone not doing things for them. If you dare say that they should make themselves useful they become offended that you don't care about their ''disability'' when the only disability they have in the weight they've gained from sitting around doing nothing. I am not saying that every overweight person is overweight from doing nothing. This is not true as medical conditions exist and so does depression. I am not invalidating unseen disorders and disabilities. THEY EXIST!!! But there are grown children living under their parents roof eating their food not doing anything useful to help or even relieve their parents burdens. Why must parents support anyone over 30 for no real reason other than the child not wanting to work?
If you don't work you shouldn't eat. While I don't agree with this completely, I do think that if you are able bodied and of age to work and are not, you should not eat. People these days have no work ethic and it's scary. We have gotten used to everything being easy and while that is wonderful we are declining as a nation.
We blame schools, we blame other nations, we blame immigrants, we blame everyone but ourselves for our problems and it needs to stop. We cannot go on like this for much longer. Laziness prevails to a point where people we eventually mentally decline. Children these days are so used to getting a participation trophy which is nice when they are two. But this mindset gets reinforced daily. Children are applauded for doing things they should do rather then being applauded for going above and beyond.
I see parents telling their 9 years old's good job for finishing the food on their plate or picking up their toys after being told 100 times. There comes a point when they will only do things if someone gives them attention and approval and this is dangerous. They become adults that cannot work without eye service and that is annoying. Their parents have trained them in this way and they will not be able to handle the real world.
I'm not saying send your child off to China for child labor but please make them do something!!
We need to do something to help children become useful to society because the working class can only support the growing population of people doing nothing for so long. Anyway done venting. Thanks for listening!
