Nervous! Scared! Happy!

Found out not so long ago I am going to be a DAD!!!

We started decorating our baby to be's room. Days passed and we were still into the idea and not worried at all on becoming parents. Now that we went to our recent ultrasound ultrasound and seen the image of our baby all shaped up we got shocked. I even started crying.

Now the only things I worry about are...

1. Will I be a good dad?

2. Do I have what it takes to be a loving father?

3. Will my son/daughter look at me like his role model?

... Yet I've come to the decision that may be and may not be. All I can do now is prepare myself to be the best parent I can be.

First of all, congratzz with becoming a father!!! :D My sister is going to have a baby soon enough too. It's always nice to see a new life is coming to this world.

It's hard for me to give you any tip since I am still a single boy. :P But from what I have heard parenting is not something easy, but I think a good dad should show much love and be very kind to your kid, but as the same time be strict your child.

When he is a baby it doesn't matter, but when he grow up a important factor is to give your child some good old discipline. Of course you are not going to use violence in anyway, but parent him like if he has been a bad kid and doesn't listen to you, give him a little punishment where he should stand to a wall and think about what he have done and not let him/her go until he/she have apologized.

Another important factor I think is important as a parent is PLEASE try to not make him too spoiled!! You will regret it later in your life and from what I have heard your child will have hard time to take care of him/herself when they move out. I agree that you should buy him nice things and if he is a good boy/girl then fulfill their wishes, but just some of them. If you give them too much they become spoiled and then the whole point with not doing that is gone.

I hope this helped you man. :P Though I am very inexperienced with it, this is what I have learned from watching other people and watching programs about how you should parenting.

Congrats, sweetie!!! Don't over think it, just relax, let it flow, let it go... you are off to a Great stepping stone by taking the First baby step in the Right direction by showing some Daddy Dearest Right Now when you posted the sonogram for GAGERS to see.
What a blessed gift when you sit around the Christmas tree next week and can break bread and drink a bit of cheer with your soul mate who you were blessed enough to find to go through this blessed event with.
