My friend won't stop texting me?

She is just really getting on my nerves. I've been friends with her for 4 years now and we considered ourselves best friends. However lately she's been texting me 24/7 because she is bored. And if I don't answer she will keep texting me until I do, or text my mom and ask her why I'm ignoring her. She is just so needy. I hang out with her all the time isn't that enough? Also I think she gets jealous I'm always with my other friends I would invite her but she got in a fight with one of them so no one asks her anymore. I just want her to stop texting me alllll the time and I can't stop talking to her because our parents are friends. What am I to do?

When this happened to me, I switched phone companies when my contract was up. I made sure I got a new number and personal made sure to avoid him getting it at all costs. I failed. I left my phone unattended for a few hours at work. He had programmed his number in my new phone. Then texted me, "since you were unable to give me your number, I went ahead and added it". Final straw, I blew up at him. He then quit texting. There is no easy solution. Just be blunt to the point we're it may sting her feelings. Maybe that will work.

Set her ringer on silent and ignore. Just text back when you feel like it and say you were busy. She tells your mom just tell your mom you're busy and don't feel like being on your phone. If the messages get too overwhelming just delete them! And if she finds out say dude you sent a million texts no way I was gonna read all that.

Or just text her and say I'm busy I'll hit you up later.
